He severely damaged my vagus nerve during laparoscopic surgery. I had a nissen fundoplication. A surgery that never should have been done. More tests should have been done. For 4 years ive suffered severe pain and spasms with my vagus nerve and it takes me 3 days to digest a single meal. I may end up having to be tube fed. This dr marcus destroyed my life!!!!!

My mother went in for a simple HI repair. She has now has to have 3 surgeries as he missed holes and so much fluid biult up in her chest that her lung collapsed. Now her white blood cells are high meaning infection. She is still in hospital after 2 weeks for what was to be a 4 day stay. Her original surgery was 3 hrs late being started. It's amazing how his bedside manner changed after all his mistakes. Thank God he is retiring soon before anyone else is hurt!

The most arrogant doctor I have ever encountered. If you want to meet someone with a God complex, book an appointment with Dr. Marcus. My father saw him regarding possible lung cancer; we tried to explain that we were worried about the biopsy procedure because he also suffers from emphysema. Dr. Marcus was not interested at all! all he was interested in was getting that biopsy done. As it turns out, there are less intrusive ways for a biopsy to be preformed that would have benefited my father greatly; however, Dr. Marcus was too busy stroking his ego to even consider them. He also is very explosive, the last person I would want operating on me or any of my loved ones. He needs anger management counselling!

Very arrogant man. My husband's pacemaker had dropped in his chest & it was hanging out. You could see it hanging in the skin & Dr. Marcus said that it wasn't. Is he blind as well as rude?? My husband was also in pain & Dr. Marcus said it was caused by meds he was taking for something else. He finally moved the pacemaker & my husband was fine. Dr. Marcus put my husband at the bottom of the list as he felt it wasn't important enough.

Saved my life, brilliant Doctor. Was not the most outgoing at first but the longer I was cancer free the friendlier he got. Wasn't looking for a everything is roses doctor. He told me what needed to be done, what I needed to do and we fix it and I am alive today because of him.
