I came to this website to rate a different physician, then saw that he was still practicing. Let me say this about Dr. Martin. He is arrogant, belligerent and condescendant, but when it comes to surgery, that man can split that atom with his bare hands. When I saw him 30 years ago his skill was second only to god, and his ego knows it. He's a horrible human being, and a masterful surgeon. Make of that what you will.

I was one of his first patients at lakeridge oshawa in 1982 he was terrible to deal with l waked up to here rock music playing. He was a tertible doctor that after 6 surgery's to fix up the knee surgerys caused by him from mistakes he made. After all the surgerys i still limp and will never forget the incompetent person he is . If anyone sees him for surgury be carefull..

I was referred to Dr. Martin by my family doctor due to severe knee pain. My ultrasound showed two meniscus tears, among other things. I booked a day off from work to see this "specialist". The first words out of his mouth were derogatory against my family doctor (Dr. Callow) and why did he send me to see him in the first place and that he should have dealt with me. He bored me to death in his office for over an hour talking about knees in general, but said NOTHING about my knee and my ultrasound results that were the reason for my visit in the first place. He said the findings of the ultrasound meant nothing and referred me for an MRI. A month after my MRI, I still had not heard back from Dr. Martin despite calls and many emails to his office. The secretary was kind enough to read me the results, which sounded remarkable, but I am STILL WAITING to hear back from Dr. Martin as to what the results mean. I am in severe pain and can no longer climb stairs due to the pain. This elderly doctor clearly has no more patience for patients and should call it a day and go into retirement because he certainly of no use to the public.

I think he does a moderate amount of insurance work and draws bad comments from disgruntled persons whose insurance benefits are questioned. I found him great.

Rude, sarcastic and unaccountable. Dr. Martin down played what I told him I had difficulties with after my surgery. Not only was I offered a follow up appointment, but I had to demand an appointment because of the extreme pain I was experiencing.

Doctor Martin in just 3 visits ,found out I have a Rare skin condition. I've had countless referrals. Once they don't have an answer for me .I was thrown on the back burner .still with symptoms growing worse.
This Dr.Martin really knows his stuff,and doesn't quit just because there was no answer .he keeps looking.
I think he should start wearing Polo ,just cuz the office is just not the same with out that Dr. Luck smell 😆

Dr. Martin took the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable during my visit. He listened to my concerns and was very knowledgable about my condition. I was sad to see my much loved and trusted Dr Luck go but I am glad he found Dr Martin to take over. Shelley, as always is wonderful too, I'm so glad Dr Martin and the clinic kept her on!

I am absolutely shocked at my interactions with him. To start off, I was referred to Dr. Martin around November 2015 to get an MRI on my injured right knee. I had an appointment with him to schedule the MRI referral. I was on time for my appointment and waiting in the room sitting on the chair. (There had already been an ultrasound which showed a bit of damage in several places and I was attending physiotherapy through Ontario Works). Dr. Martin walked into the room with my chart in his hand and immediately said "you look like you don't have anything wrong with you!" He felt around my knee and said everything looks fine. I was not even there for him to look at it. Just for a referral. He tried to tell me I am not in pain which I am on a daily basis. He was rude and arrogant and would not answer my questions or answered it with a sarcastic question. He sent me for the MRI and I was to come back for a follow up after the MRI and results came in, which I was already hesitant on because of the way he acted the first appointment.

I had my MRI done in mid December and I believe I saw Dr. Martin within a few days of the MRI results coming back (before the end of December) 2nd appointment (MRI results) - I go into Dr. Martins room and he comes in with my chart and again acts sarcastically saying I look fine, nothing is wrong with me.I had to ask him to tell me my results as he had started to ask me what I would like to happen.. what an odd question.. I cannot fix the issue in my knee myself!!
He then read about the first five lines of my report, not letting me see it, saying everything is absolutely unremarkable and that I have nothing wrong and he went to leave the room and leave it at that. I stopped him and said this is impossible, I am in pain every day and I know my body when something is not right. I would like a copy of that report. He hesitated and then started printing a copy. Then he looks down at the report in his hand (knowing ill be reading the one he is printing as he has no choice but to give me a full copy ITS MY RECORDS! MY HEALTH!)
and he goes -oh but it does mention there are two lesion like tumors in the findings, so you might have cancer. These were his exact words.( I went from feeling annoyed to feeling very angry that he was taking everything like it was a big joke. I took the copy of the report he printed and read over it pointing out to the lesions asking about them as I was clueless and shocked that he was not going to mention ANYTHING and let me leave, considering the report also stated further correlation/ testing recommended. I asked Dr. Martin what do I do from this point- he started laughing and oh if you looked at half of the population and cut open their livers we would see almost everyone has a tumor, if you did an MRI of my face we would see an old man with a mole" His office door was closed so the secretary cannot verify he did not say this ignorant unbelievable stuff to me. I cannot believe this.. my life is at risk here and he does not even care. He said I am too young for anything to go wrong and judged me on my age.Before the end of the appointment I wanted to freak out but I held my temper, i asked for a referral to someone else and he refused he said go talk to your family dr if you have a concern. I just left. He apparently told my family Dr that I am not in pain which is a lie and I never said that.

ALSO*** when i asked him to print me me own copy of the report because he was lying he only gave me page one. after having further issues which i am still dealing with and being delayed for thanks to this Dr. who cannot do his job I have been at the hospital a couple of times. They pulled up my report shocked to hear how Dr. Martin dealt with it, and they printed the full report which is in fact two pages. I did not get page two from Dr martin which had more info on the bone lesions. I am beyond furious... After reading his online reviews I am not surprised at all. I want this dr sued. I am SO furious that my health is being played around with and the way he spoke to me. I bet if he had any tumors or lesions he would be getting himself help asap. I am disgusted I need help with this. I will never be seeing him again but I am not letting this go.

You realize that an Anesthesiologist administers the anesthetic, not the operating Surgeon, right?
