After trying 5 years to fall pregnant I saw Dr Molloy. I saw him because of his knowledge regarding endometriosis. I had saw another specialist with no success. After 1 cycle of IVF I fell pregnant with twins. He does come across a bit abrupt but I wanted that after trying for so long to fall pregnant. I didn't want small talk I wanted results. Which I got. Recommend him.

Feel humiliated by my experience with Dr Molloy. Off to find a new gynaecologist!

Dr David Molloy is the most knowledgeable and passionate doctor I have met. He does come across a little abrupt at first but he's very much straight to business without the small talk.

He is so efficient with his notes, advice, options and knowledge. He will take the time to talk through options and has always double checked that we are comfortable with the final advice/ decision.
He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat things.
He's the only doctor I 100% trust.
When you get to know him a bit better, he dies have a softness and hidden sense of humour behind the very professional and pedantic exterior.

I'm not fond on David Molloy and as such, I won't be seeing him again. He's very rude, abrupt and seems to think my partner and I are idiots. He talks at you - not to you. He can be quite rough during internal exams and I told him it was hurting and he told me I was being silly. I had to have endometriosis and fibroids removed by him and as I was being wheeled into theatre, he berated me for not having another consult before the procedure which I was never informed I should! We had been trying to get pregnant since the endometriosis and fibroids removal and he kept pushing IVF on us which we didn't want to do. He would not put me on any medication for ovulation and in the end, I had 4 treatments of acupuncture and I fell pregnant. When I went to him again, I was about 4-5weeks pregnant (but I didn't know!) he diagnosed me with more endometriosis - not a pregnancy - and wanted to do more surgery. When I found out I was pregnant a week later I went and saw him for a dating scan, he said acupuncture doesn't work and he was the one that helped because he did the surgery and I should name my baby after him! I have since found myself a new and much better OBGYN - one who actually cares, to talks to me (not at me) and involves my partner and has a great sense of humour and personality, and most importantly, someone I fully trust and comfortable talking about anything gynae related.

I think Dr Molloy is great if it wasn't for him I would still have crippling pain every month from endometriosis. I tried other surgeons with no luck but since going to Dr Molloy I have been free from it for about 3 years now and I had a sever case which required me to have a bowel resection as well. I also love the fact that you don't have to wait months to see him because he isn't tied up doing birthing. Dr Molloy is passionate about endometriosis and on a few boards in the field. Yeah he isn't someone who will hold your hand and try and to sooth your emotions but that's fine with me. He always answers every question I have and goes into detail, he has never made me feel stupid for asking a question, and doesn't sugar coat things. For any endo suffers I highly recommend him.

He is rude, abrupt and dismissive. He will also answer his mobile phone in the middle of consultations. The staff are very nice and professional however are always swamped with phone calls and lines at the counter. It can be difficult to get their help. It seems he has a reputation for being a good surgeon, I'm. Not sure yet. He does not like questions and is very quick to push us out of his office. Most consultations are less then 10 minutes.. I get the feeling he just goes through the motions wich is fine when things are standard Howe ever he doesn't seem to know what to do when things don't go to plan. If you have seen dr Molloy and had a successful result, good for you. It,s been 12 months for us now and Im concerned our faith has been misplaced. The fact that I let him operate once already on my wife scares me, I'm trying to talk her into changing doctors.

If you want a brain surgeon - you go for the best rather than the one with the best personality. If you want IVF, then for the same reason you can't go past Dr. Molloy. Having done 5 IVF cycles in the US, I did my first cycle with Dr Molloy in Australia and it has been a very incredible experience. Non invasive, straight and clear advise and no messing around. And I got pregnant. What else can you ask for in this situation.

Dr Molloy is certainly very good at his job, and he knows it. He has many years experience and is very intellectual. However I personally found him to be quite direct, which is fine, but if you are looking for someone with a more caring personality as a priority I would not recommend him for that. His surgical skills are fantastic in my experience, and I would not hesitate to have him as my surgeon. My only issue is I find him a bit rough when physically examining you, which can be painful if you have the problems I do, and he doesn't seem to care. He makes out like you are over-reacting, which I don't appreciate.

I am not satisfied with the way how my partner's IVF trials were conducted. I don't recommend.
