Dr Sommerville has operated on members of my family 4 times including 2 different hip replacements (fractures due to osteoporosis). He is an amazingly good surgeon. Highest possible recommendation.

This man is a legend. He took on my complex case when others were unable to do the required surgery. It was my fifth hip operation. Others told me it was inoperable. He performed two complex operations as I had been left with infection after my previous surgery. I now have no infection and a fabulous hip. Thanks Dr Sommerville. I’ll be coming back down when my other hip needs surgery

He saved my life. I was diagnosed with a Synovial Sarcoma, rare and aggressive cancer. His incredible hand skills removed the tumour with 1mm clear margins. I’m alive and it’s been more than ten years since the surgery. Great man, great surgeon.

This wonderful man has operated and helped my son twice now, actually met him for the first time just this Friday, , I wasn't looked at or acknowledged, or spoken to, I just sat there, listened to him say , that's one of the biggest cuts I have done for a long time, and he was gone, I didn't get the chance to ask any questions, or say THANKYOU, so THANKYOU dr sommerville your a legend for what your team managed to do, God bless

Dr Sommerville replaced my right hip in 2005. Every aspect of my experience with him was professional and courteous. The operation and recovery were completely pain free, which rather amazed me. He gave me my life back. I am going to contact him again this week to arrange for the replacement of my left hip joint, something I am entering into with total confidence.

Dr Scott Sommerville did my total knee replacement nearly 5 years ago. I found him to be a brilliant surgeon who took the time to explain everything in terms that i could easily understand. He was a very caring doctor and as someone pointed out he even came into hospital on weekends to check on me. I've had to have many ops over the years and found him to be one of two of my drs. who I have full trust in. I will not think of going anywhere else when it comes to my other knee and my hips etc.
