He put out a brochure saying he had previously practiced at Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota. Don't see mention of that. Do you know? He always acts like he is angry. If you're 5 mins. late, wants an extra $25. Never heard of that. I've waited on him for hrs. He never paid me or apologized. Not a good deal.

I can't imagine why people are giving my Dr. such poor ratings. Dr. Nelson has been nothing but wonderful to me. He has gotten me down from very high doses of oxy to levels that work but let me stay awake! He also SAVED MY LIFE when he realized a gallstone hidden in my liver had ruptured and bile was spewing into my abdominal cavity! He's been my Dr. for over 3 yrs. My husband and I love him!

I need copies of my records and the staff is so rude!! She didnt want to make copies for me and tried to tell me it would cost $1 for the first sheet and any additional would be .25 cents a copy! It was for social security and I am okay with paying this but when I picked it up it was $25 dollars!! There wasnt but a few pages!! We had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to even come to the from office and she was very rude both times we went! Same with the doctor, he doesn't listen to what's wrong with you!! I don't recommend this place!

hIS OFFICE staff called me a few hours before my appt, when i told them i could not make a early appt beucase i was at work they said there was no other appts, so i took off form edmond to get there, called them told them i was going to be 15 minutes late they said it was fine. When i arrived there i was told the doctor wont see me and that they will not reschedule after they said to come in after i let them know i would be substantially late then get rude with me and had no empathy as to how much pain i was in trying to make it there as soon as i could. I would never refer this doctors office unless you just like being treated like trash

This guy saved my husband's life, not once, but TWICE! He is one of the most brilliant doctors in the U.S. and deserves everyone's respect! The second time my husband was in such trouble from something another Dr. did, John Nelson found the problem, 18 inches of wire left in his back covered with MRSA, and stayed in his office until 8:00 PM searching for a surgeon within our insurance group who could do surgery right away to save my hubby's life! Because of the efforts of Dr. Nelson, my husband had the wires removed and the wounds cored out withing 12 hours! He is a miracle man and if you have been ****ed by Dr. Gessner, I suggest you go to John Nelson or Daniel Bennett for help! They will save your life!

This doctor seemed...odd. He tried to put me on an extremely powerful seizure medication called Topamax for my back pain. Upon research, I discovd Topamax has horrible effects: amnesia, confusion. People forget where they are in their own homes, lose their pets, can't find their keys, get confused at stoplights, etc. I am single, a student, and live alone - not a good med for me! Was very angry he'd prescribe that and not even warn me about ANY OF THE EFFECTS. I could have RUINED my GPA, left my dogs outside to freeze to death, gotten lost on the highway, or worse. Did not return to this doctor and have serious concerns that he is passing out this kind of medicine for pain. Does he have a family member working as a Topamax drug rep or something?

A Pain Management doctor that appears to not believe in pain. Your complaint is of severe pain in the lower back and he wants to do a brain scan. Insists you have seizures when you never in your life had one and gives you brand-new, only lab-rat-tried highly expensive pills for seizures, which you don't have. Nothing for severe pain. But then, he doesn't appear to believe in pain anyway, even though injury is well documented. Had high expectation but was a disappointing experience. Just one of those doctors who ignores a patient's complaints and thinks it's got to be the opposite (preferrably your head/psychological).
