I have been seeing Dr. mayo for about 10 years, and I have found her to be thorough but not excessive. She and I have regular discussions about topics where we have differing opinions and she is respectful of my thoughts without casting them aside. I would describe our relate
Io ship as a partnership in determining what makes the most sense for me. I have seen 2 others physicians in the practice when I had an urgent care need and Dr. mayo wasn't available. Drs. Sobel and Hadley were of the same caliber. The whole practice is organized and very professional. My only complaint is the clunky online system, Patient Gateway, used by Partners Healthcare!

I had the same PCP for over 30 years and when he retired I spent the next two years searching for a new doctor. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Mayo. I had my first visit 9-14 and immediately felt very comfortable. What stood out for me was her level of confidence in what she was recommending. She is also very thorough. It was nice to feel at peace again since I loved my doctor that I spent over 30 years with.

An excellent, thorough doctor. Dr. Mayo communicates well, knows when to be concerned, has a good understanding of patients a whole. What I especially like is her direct and always pleasant manner. I have followed her to this practice, and she is worth the longer drive.

Caring, concerned, knowledgeable, VERY aware of treatments available, strongly encourages patient participation in their own care; Dr Mayo is honest - if you can't handle that then you're at the wrong office. I, too, followed her from her last practice and am very grateful that she's there for me. Her staff is polite and caring also - very professional and kind and the other md,s in this practice are wonderful whenever needed. I don't know what office some of these reviewers were in but it was not Dr. Denise Mayo's. She's definitely a keeper!

Although she tries to give the impression of being a caring, friendly doctor she can be very dismissive & abrupt if you try to have input into options for treatment. She has a tendency to jump to conclusions & order many tests even if you try to explain that you have already had those tests done by specialists.

Dr. Mayo is friendly, knowledgeable, and cares about me as a person. She always takes time to explain options to me and to answer any questions I might have. She follows up after a visit, contacting me promptly about test results and referring me to a specialist when needed. I never feel she is in a hurry with me. She has a sense of humor. I highly recommend her.

I am very confident in Dr. Mayo. She is committed to my wellbeing and does everything in her power to keep me well. I trust her completely and have never been disatisfied with her care or manner. She has called me at home to make sure I am okay and/or to talk to me about an aspect of my health that requires my attention and action. Dr. Mayo is knowledgeable, curious, willing to listen, and quick to see me if I am unwell. She is the best and I feel fortunate that she is my doctor.

Can appear to be caring but if you question her opinion or ask about alternative options, she becomes abrupt & talks over you. This is not a doctor who appreciates you participating in your own care. Does not seem knowledgeable about newer approaches/treatments.
