This is a busy office, so we're usually seen at least 30mins after our scheduled time, but Dr N has been our pediatrician for 3 years for our two boys and she is so knowledgeable and caring towards them. I know she is often rushed and behind schedule, but she takes the time to answer all my questions and address issues. She is very thorough and we're very happy with her as the kids' dr.

Dr. Neelands has been looking after both my children since birth (they are 11 and 9 now). She cares deeply for their development, how they are doing in school and is particularly helpful with my youngest who was diagnosed as being 'on the spectrum'. Without Dr. Neelands' expertise in developmental paediatrics, I don't know what I would have done after that diagnosis. She IS the best in the city. She is patient, she is not an alarmist, she cares for the children and (I don't know how she does this with the number of patients she has) she 'knows" them and can detect what is their regular behaviour and when they are slightly 'off'.

When my 12 year old daughter was born, Dr. Neelands was on duty and asked if we needed a paediatrician. I did not know it at the time, but she was our angel!!! When my daughter went for her 18 month check up, Dr. Neelands noticed something "different" with her and thought she might be autistic. That day we were on our way to different appointments and therapies. Today, my daughter is smart, funny and mainstreamed in school. Yes, she is autistic. Without Dr. Neelands' expertise I shudder to think where we would be. By the time my daughter started school, we already had 4 years of speech therapy. and P.T.!!! I would gladly sit in her office for hours just to see her. We thank her on a daily basis for her knowledge and expertise. If there is anyone out there that thinks they don't need a paediatrician, thinka again. They are trained to see things that family doctors don't. So, thank you Dr. Neelands from the bottom of our hearts!!!!

Dr Neelands is excellent. Her clinic is very busy but she is always patient with the kids, quick and efficient. She also takes time to answer my questions which I really appreciate. I am the kind of patient who wants to know why something is being prescribed or whether I can wait for something to go away without the use of drugs. Dr. Neelands always listens to my questions, answers them factually and knowledgeably and respectfully states why she feels certain medicines, vaccines etc should be given. Her clinic is busy and you know your time is limited with her but I really do find she does a great job of addressing everything that needs to be addressed within the time available. I would highly recommend this Dr Neelands.

Excellent doctor. Very knowledgable. Listens to parents' concerns and questions and provides full answers (certainly explains why she falls behind). Great interaction directly with the children. Bright, warm, friendly personality. She obviously cares. Her sharpness (intelligence) is very apparent with the way she speaks and the types of questions she asks. I can't imagine anyone making any negative comments about her. My confidence in Dr. Neelands knowledge, professionalsim, and caring is as high as it could be. When I read negative criticisms of her here, I would say they reflect negatively on the commentors rather on the doctor. We're very fortunate to have her as our children's doctor.

Yes, you have to wait a long time but this doctor goes way above and beyond for her patients in terms of her care and the auxiliary care she helps to arrange. For parents of kids with special needs, she is extremely helpful. She is well connected with Sick Kids and is not intimidated by the specialists there; she'll stand up for your kids.

For me dr.Neelands, hasnt been such a great experience. I choose her because my husband had a great experience with her, as a the doctor for his daughter from his previos mariage. Now he is reamaried and we have 2 daughters, one is almost 3 years old and the youngest is 4 moths old. when i had to go to Sick Kids with my new born, she was 6 weeks at that time, our doctor was on duty, we had to come twice with her because her situation was geting worst. None at the time our doctor come to look at her patient. she come later in the night to tell us that she knows we are there but for some reason she cant look at my daugher. A nice smile on the face and a 2 second visit in the room and she done her duty. The worst of the problems apear when I realized that she s discusing my children and our visits in her office with my husband exwife. Ya, so much about confidence in my doctor. probably after that we wont have a doctor but now everybody will know about the "other face"of Patricia Nealands

My daughter is 3 and we have been with Dr. Neelans since she was born. She is so friendly, helpful, reassuring and wonderful with my daughter. When I have had questions I can call and ask the staff, who are wonderful. When my daughter has been ill, they have taken her the same day we call and are so caring.

I haven't had the same postive experiences that others have had, but I do hope this changes. I found that I have been rushed through appointments with my son (8 months) and my concerns have not been taken seriously. I often find she speaks to me as though I am one of her adolescent patients. I have seen her with other families and she is very friendly. I will say though, she has always been punctual! I do hope that one day my rapport with her improves - it's hard finding doctors out there!

Dr. Neelands is my sons pediatrician( boy, almost 2). She is always available, and she has seen my son everytime he was sick, no question asked. She is open, tells you how it is. I don't remember the time that he was sick( and that was quite a few times), that they were not able to see us the same day.I would have been lost withough her...
