I got a letter from Dr Hughes in 2013 telling me he was retiring. Is he still in practice or not? I was one of his patient's for 22 years.

I've been fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. Hughes for over 21 years and will continue for as long as he is in practice. Dr. Hughes is an excellent surgeon and I couldn't trust any other doctor more with my life. He has excellent bedside manners. He truly cares about me as a patient and my overall well-being as well. I just wish I could find a primary care doctor I could trust even half as much or who truly cared half as much as he does! He is very dedicated in his work, and gives you the time of day. He is very good about explaining anything you do not understand. I sure hope he does not plan on retirement for a long time. Most definitely, I feel Dr. Hughes is simply the very best of the best in the medical field in today's world!

While I do agree with previous comments, must stress that wait time is LONG and I really feel he should work on being more timely with appointments as it makes me feel like my time is not nearly so important as his! Somewhere something is wrong when one has to wait 2 hours for, in my case, 10 minutes of his time.

Dr. Hughes is terrific. I've been a patient for over 20 hears. He makes all of his patients feel special. He will spend as much time with you as needed and answer all your questions. Unfortunately, this inevitably causes his appointment to run over. You'll have to wait, but it is worth it.

I found that everyone at the office was very friendly. I hadn't seen Dr. Hughes in over 20years but he has not changed a bit. He spends quality time w/you and makes you understand everything he is saying before you leave his office..

I have been a patient of Dr. Hughes for 20+ years. Outstanding person and great doctor. Such a professional. As long as I require this medical attention, I pray Dr. Hughes will be available. Yes, the wait is long - but well worth it.

There are no other words to decribe how wonderful Dr. Hughes is. Even if the wait is long it is so worth it. I would trust no other Dr the way I trust him. My 4 sisters see him as did my Mom and he made her life great again when she had a terrible bladder problem that no on else would fix. I just love him and his staff. The wait is so worth it.

I have been seeing Dr. Hughes for about 15 yrs now, he is the best. I am an RN & very aware of how doctors can be. I had just been seeing him for GYN, however, now I am married & in need of fertility treatments. I would not go any where else. Sometimes the wait to get into the exam room is long, but after you have seen him & you see how in depth his assessments are, you will understand. His nurse Erin is the best! I also will have a hard time changing doctors when that time comes. I hope that is not for a long time.

I have been seeing Dr. Hughes for 1 year now and I hope he NEVER retires. I am only 20 so it will be sad when I have to change doctors WHEN the day comes. I am recovering from a surgery to ease pain that I have been in for the past 2 years. When I saw him 1 year ago, he made a PROMISE, yes a promise, which is unheard of for a doctor to do. He promised me that he would get to the bottom of my pain and fix it. While other doctors would have brushed it away, Dr. Hughes listened. At that point I did not care what he promised, I was just glad that he listens. Although you need to plan to wait, you know that you are going to get the same attention that the patient he is currently helping is. He makes sure that you leave with no questions. I would never want to lose him for a doctor.
