Had ultrasound @ 5 wks bc of bleeding & told them I didnt think the baby was alive bc I didnt feel pregnant but they insisted the baby was in my uterus & even pointed out the sac on the ultrasound pic. The next day I was in severe pain and decided to go to the hospital. ER Docs performed another ultrasound & told me I had an ectopic pregnancy & I had to have immediate surgery bc I had been bleeding internally.Turns out Dr. Mcbrayer staff was wrong there was no sac in my uterus & the ER doctors were very concerned about the treatment I had with Dr. Macbrayer bc if I didnt come to the hospital when I did I would have died because the baby was in my tube & it ruptured! When I confronted Dr. Macbrayer about the situation after the fact, he called me on the phone & lied to me stating that he told me the pregnancy was ectopic but I reminded him that he could not have done that bc he was out of town when I went to his office. So I caught him in a lie. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy

this place was kind of creepy, not to mention the reason I was there, and the people picketing outside in the front. But other then that the staff was very friendly, and made you feel comfortable about your decision. If I had to go back I would. but not for the service I was there for

I have known Dr. McBrayer for over 20 years. He is very professional and is an excellent doctor. There was a time I changed jobs and he was no longer on my insurance plan, I had to change docotrs. I felt I was being mis-diagnosed by my new doctor, so I called Dr. McBrayer. He immediately told me to come in. He evaluated my issue at no charge and did some testing, said he would contact me when the test results came back. He did, the results were positive for breast cancer. He then at no charge, proceeded to line all my doctors up for further care. If Dr. McBrayer accepted my insurance plan, I would go back to him with out hesitation. I would also like to give CUDOS to Margaret.

Went in for a $100.00 ultrasound b/c a friend told me that I could get one w/Dr. McBrayer without having med. coverage. Dr. McBrayer continued to recommend abortion to me and basically tried to talk me out of keeping my 12 week gest. BABY who was moving happily about with a rapidly beating heart. I WOULD NOT recommend this Dr. to anyone who actually wants to keep their unborn BABY.

I had a pleasant visit. Everyone was nice and conforming. The price is reasonable for those of us who do not have insurance, and they were very helpful. McBrayer was nice to me and talked me though my pap. I also have no problems contacting anyone in the office if I have concerns. One of the receptionists at the time may have not been as knowledgeable as she should have been during one of my visits, but as far as the rest of the staff, I recommend them.

This was my first time being in this position, but it was better than I ever thought possible. Everyone was very friendly, and made me feel like they truly cared about my best interest. I have had no pain, and followed all the regulations to my knowledge. Dr. Mcbrayer came and greeted me and everything. I have heard horrible stories from some of my closest friends, and when I came into his office all my fears when away. I wouldn't have had my experience any other way. And to thoes who say it was rushed- why would you want to have to wait any longer than you have to.. it's not like every girl wants to wait all day long with the guilt of their own decision on their chest. He is only doing what we want, don't blame him. He was frienly, along with his staff. I was greeted by very nice women who took my mind off my procedure. Not that I want to do this again, but if I had to, I would no doubt visit this office again.

Dr. McBrayer delivered both of my children. ALWAYS professional and a credit to his profession. If I had not moved to Athens I would still be using him.

This doctor was just arrested for punching a woman in the face during a road rage incident in Sandy Springs on 10/5/2009. The story, reported in the AJC, says that he was fined and put on probation for 2 years in 2001 for performing 2nd trimester abortions in his Marietta office, which is illegal in the state of GA (they must be performed in a hospital setting or in a licensed abortion facility). This is not a doctor I would trust with my body!
