The comments about the staff being 'gate-keepers' and 'horrible' are spot-on. They are condescending and have an attitude of 'don't call us we'll call you' (one of them actually said that to me). I had a serious adverse event that damaged my vision after a relatively minor procedure and had to persevere for months to get connected to Dr Chambers for help. His staff just didn't care. I've never been so frustrated by the medical system. It was difficult to know how much to blame on Dr Chambers versus his horrible, condescending, ignorant staff.

Two cataracts replaced (Toric). Dr Chambers and his staff were pleasant and efficient. Pre ops, operation and post ops went very smoothly and there were no side issues. I would not hesitate to use Dr. Chambers again.

I had cateracs replaced with toric lenses and the results are fabulous. Dr Chambers did an excellent job and I am truly grateful.

Dr Chambers was fast and efficient but lost my vision shortly after it was impossible to get back in for him to fix it
I tried repeatedly to get an appointment
I got upset after 8 months of trying
I was advised to go somewhere else
Dr Chamber’s told me to call him right away if their were any complications so I did and was treated very poorly

I visit Dr. Chambers once a year for monitoring of my eyes for glaucoma. Dr. Chambers is extremely skilled and knowledgable. There is a history of glaucoma with my siblings. I have a thin cornea and my pressure is a bit on the high side so an optometrist not able to determine whether I have glaucoma or not. This requires a specialist. Due to covid I have missed one year and this years appointments unfortunately coincided with my move to Calgary but the appointments were changed and I was relieved that I could see Dr. Chambers prior to my move. I then received a call back from the staff of Dr. Chambers to say that the appointments would be cancelled because I am moving. I would need to find an opthomologist in Calgary. This will take a long time. It would have been a relief to have my appointments with Dr. Chambers. I would then know if it is critical (aka I have glaucoma) to go to an emergency clinic in Calgary as soon as I move or whether I can follow the process to find a specialist in Calgary which will take some time
I do thank Dr. Chambers though for his years of professional expertise. I was fortunately to have him as my opthomologist.

Doctor Chambers and staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Chambers did cataract surgery on both eyes. 6 months apart. A great success, vision is now 20/20. Very happy with the procedure. The staff at KGH in Vision Care weee friendly. Knowledgeable. Helpful. A great experience.

My experience with Dr. Chambers was similar to that with chiropractors - primarily interested in selling, less so with performance. He made a significant error in my eye surgery (installed the wrong lens), then offered to correct it through more expensive surgery. At no time did he acknowledge his error nor did he seem concerned. A pleasant guy, but I'm looking elsewhere.

Dr. Chambers performed cataract surgery on both eyes approximately a year apart. Both experiences were very positive. Due to his knowledge and recommendations I seldom need to use glasses (readers) and now have great vision during the day and at night.

I had surgery for both my eyes to get rid of young persons cataracts. I had questions before and after the surgery and reached out to the office. The receptionist knew exactly what I was trying to ask and answered it in a professional manor. I was concerned about the surgery and most of the staff were very understanding. (I am very young to have cataracts however I soon found it was caused by medication.) Although there was a common problem after surgery I'm getting that fixed and should have 100% vision. The surgery is not as bad as some make it sound. Everyone is different. No question is stupid or silly.
