Biography

EDUCATION Margaret Terhar, MD, FACS earned her medical degree in 1985 from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Following medical school, she continued her professional training at Wright State University and completed her general surgical training in 1990. She has obtained continuous post graduate training in breast care and has a certification in breast ultrasound from the American Society of Breast Surgeons. EXPERIENCE Dr. Terhar is a breast surgeon at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) and Medical Director of The Breast Center at Sunrise Hospital. She is an active member of the Breast Center Steering Committee and Credentials Committee at Sunrise Hospital and serves as Clinical Faculty Supervisor at Touro University Nevada. Prior to joining CCCN, Dr. Terhar practiced general surgery with a heavy emphasis in breast care for 15 years before dedicating her practice to the care of breast related diseases. She served at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio as Medical Director of the Breast Center and Chair of the Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Treatment Planning Conference. In 2014, Dr. Terhar was recognized as a “Medical Marvel” by Nevada Business Magazine. PERSONAL In her spare time, Dr. Terhar enjoys scuba diving, photography and cooking. She has been married for more than 20 years to Don Gregory, MD, a local family practice physician.
