Only one star because it’s required. We dealt with this dr on the pediatric ward at LMH. I myself am a nurse. This dr was so cold and rude to myself and very sick 8 year old. She refused any of the test I requested claiming they were unnecessary and said that my daughter was getting better. It was very clear to me that she was not. She would not even look in her ears when she was having ear pain. The next day the other dr ran all the test which showed she was very ill and needed higher level of care and a chest tube at children’s. Thank god for the other dr. Do t let this woman care for your child.

Dr Tandan discharged us from the Nicu/nursery in Langley and was incredibly difficult to deal with. I had my son at 33 weeks and had some questions about how to care for a preemie. She was so rude and dismissive that I stopped asking her questions, thank goodness I had nurses and midwives to ask instead. She also talked over the nurses instructions to us many times and was rude to them too. Langley nursery was so great to us and dealing with dr Tandan at the end really soured our day when we were so excited to take our son home after a month in the nicu.

My wife took our 4 year old son in for a consultation with this so called paediatrician. Shortly after their appointment I received a call from my wife and she crying hysterically, I was scared something had happened, after I was able to calm her down to get her to explain what was going on, and from what I heard was appalling and disgusting. From how my was treated and degraded as not only a mother but a human being. I am angry and venting. I will be getting a referral from our family doctor to a professional paediatrician that has empathy, and has patience with children. This person is rude and disrespectful. Please if you want to be treated with kindness and dignity do not see this person.

Dr Tandan is just too busy to offer the kind of care our child needs. It took us a very long time to get an appointment, (a reflection of our medical system as a whole), but when our day finally came, she was shockingly unprepared for us and spent our limited time reading my Childs medical files just to get up to speed. By the end of it, I was unsure if she even knew who we were.
I am also very, very confused why my child and I had to drive in from Vancouver to her her clinic in Langley to sit in one room while she sat in another and the entire visit was conducted via zoom! She did not even meet myself or my child in person.
Dr Tandan may well be a 5-star doctor if she had better time management or the patience with clients when she is overwhelmed in the clinic. I recommend finding a less busy pediatrician....but good luck with that these days.

My experience was very bad with this Doctor. She didn't know how to talk with Kids. She was not talking with smiley face to kid. My kid was suffering from stomachache from last 2-3 months and she didn't even prescribe any medicine and told me that you have to observe your kids' symptoms until next visit. I asked my doctor for reference another pediatrician. I don't recommend Dr Tara Tondon.

She was very kind in person, but once we started virtual appointments her true colors showed. She made my mom feel terrible, and essentially blamed her for my lack of improvement. My mom is trying very hard, and even I (a teenager) am appreciative of her help. Dr. Tandan lacks empathy, and is unable to see the effort my whole family is putting in. She feels as if she can say anything over the screen, and even had the audacity to tell me that I was either going to die, or get sick of what I was doing and become extremely obese. She my have a lot of experience in her field, but she lacks the sensitive touch needed for helping with mental health disorders. I do not know how someone like her can be a paediatrician, but I guess anything is possible if Trump was once the American president. :(

shes amazing, she helped us understand things better when it came to my daughters situation. my daughter is only 2 and very specific on who can touch her and be in her space. she even had her laughing, i think shes amazing with kids. i also had my 4 year old that she was socializing with too. my family loved her.
