Doctor went out of his way to listen, to answer questions, and provide information other doctors did not. He was very kind, and helpful. He made a treatment plan and was genuine in his desire to treat.

This doctor would give me no help. At my first visit, he said he wanted to wait for my lab results to make a plan of treatment. After 2 weeks and no call, I called and the receptionist said he hadn't decided yet. She said "These are Doctors" in a haughty way. "They do things when they get ready." After 3 weeks, I called and left a message asking the doctor to call me. When I was asked what the call was in regard to, I said "I'm in pain and need treatment." A week later (now a month since first visit and still nothing), I called again and canceled my next appointment and told the receptionist that Dr. Axthelm was the strangest and most uncaring doctor I've ever seen.
