The absolute BEST doctor/surgeon I've ever been too for any problem, including being a caretaker for my parents for many years and many physician/surgeon issues. He is brilliant, thorough, and caring. He never rushes you and answers all your questions. My surgery was a complete success and my pain in now permanently resolved due to the wonderful hands of Dr. Downey.

I highly recommend this foot doctor. He is very thorough and figures out the most complex problems and complications. He's the doctor's doctor! He will formulate a long-term plan to fix any foot and ankle problem. I cannot say enough good things about him!

The absolute best! Dr. Downey takes the time to "listen." His patients always come first! Incredible surgeon. Had both achilles repaired by Dr. Downey! I could not even walk without major pain. Dr. Downey is very direct, tells you what needs to be done, is very competent in doing what needs to be done. Just some advise - do EXACTLY what he tells you. I'm very impatient and want instant results - if you listen and do as told, you will heal properly. Believe me, he knows best!

Dr. Downey is simply put amazing. Have had two surgeries in the last 2 months and every single step of the way has been easy and fluid. Dr Downey takes the time to explain exactly what is going on, takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have and overall had me as a patient feeling totally comfortable and at ease! I had reconstructive foot surgery done by Dr. Downey about 10 months ago. He was revising 3 surgeries I previously had done by other doctors that messed up my foot badly. I am now much better and can walk and run for the first time in several years! I wanted to post this result so that others can know of the skill Dr. Downey has and that he is well-known by his colleagues - both orthopedic and podiatry - for fixing other people's mistakes or messes. He is excellent in every way and I highly recommend him to anyone!!

Dr Downey is the smartest and most incredible doctor. i am 41 years old and have had bi lateral club foot my whole life. i was lucky enough to have met dr downey from a family friend who had surgery by him. I have seen many many doctors in the tri-state area my whole life from NYC to DuPont in DE. NONE of them could help me or even wanted to try. I met Dr Downey in 2016 and he introduced himself as *hi, im michael*. He took a look at my foot and said *i can fix that*. I was estatic. Noone to this day could fix my *flipper*. My left foot was really pronating badly and has been getting worse over the years. It was starting to become pretty painful too even walk. My left foot is PERFECT now. Dr downey has recently corrected my right foot with the same procedure he did on the left. Also my right Achilles tendon was calcified. Yes it was as bad as that sounds. Dr Downey was able to fix my right foot too and for the first time i can remember since i was a child, i can move my foot up and down pretty well. No more calcification! This doctor and his staff are truly amazing and were totally LIFE-CHANGING for me. I honestly gave up on ever being able to walk anymore until i met him and now its SO MUCH BETTER. I even have stopped people on the street that i notice that have problems similar to what i had, and i tell them about Dr Downey. Dr if you read this, thank you for EVERYTHING.

Doctor Downey is my favorite doctor on the planet! He has done ankle implants on both my ankles and now I walk without pain, where before his surgeries I could not even stand for 5 minutes without excruciating pain. He spends the extra time with you in the office and in surgery to make sure everything turns out right! My physical therapist sees a lot of ankle implants after surgery and she says Dr. Downey's are by far the best outcomes and motion. I highly recommend him to you for any foot or ankle problem!
