****If you are referred to this doctor ask to be switched to someone else**** Yes he is in fact 88 years old and my IUD insertion was a nightmare. He uses local anesthisia for insertion, but uses so much you almost pass out on the table, his nurse is about 400 years old and has the personality of a rock, he vut my IUD strings so short I had to see a specialist for removal... he needs to go back into retirement. And soon.

I found Dr. Charavorty to be very caring and knowledgable. I think he may be about 90 yrs old but was very caring and attentive. I had my IUD taken out and he trewated me as if I was one of his own daughters. Very sweet and professional.

I was a patient of Dr Chakravorty for many years, after a few incidents where he made a few inappropriate(not sexual) comments, which were upsetting at the time, I went to another Dr. I would not recommend him to single women. He appears to have a bias against us. However he did refer to other practitioners when required.

I saw Dr.Chakravorty due to a having a missed miscarriage. I waited 90mins to finally see him from the time my appt was to start. He was knowledgeable and understanding but my big issue was the time I had to wait to finally see him.

I went to see Dr. Chakravorty about a lump in my breast. He gave me a full exam EXCEPT the breast exam! Plus, while I was on the examination table (in a very vulnerable position) getting my exam, he criticized my weight and said that he felt I was too heavy to give a proper exam to. I was completely humiliated.

He knew what he was talking about and got straight to the point. He didn't send me for tests and make me wait for months on end to find out what was wrong with me. He was also very effective at getting me into surgery right away; he went out of his way to sit on the phone in front of me and wait until he got me in. I would recomend him to anyone suffering the way I was and not willing to wait for the three other doctors I saw to do something.

This Dr. apparantly was retired and has been called back to duty due to a lack of GYN in the area. He should retire, please. Although knowledgeable and friendly, I'm sure he was an awsome doctor in the past. I had a quick look at his medical instruments and they look as old as some of the historic buildings in this city and that is extremely scary to know what these same instruments are being used for!!!His nurse must be 100 years old and not all that friendly(but at least could pronounce my name correctly!)I DO NOT recommend this dorctor at all, especially if you need an IUD inserted.
