I'm a twice breast cancer survivor. When the cancer came back very aggressive and deadly this second time I went to the best which is Dr Robert Boone. His knowledge, caring and expertise saved my life. After surgery this second time I had very strong chemo and radiation treatments and now I'm cancer free over five years later. Can't emphasize enough on how well versed and helpful he is and I'm glad he's one of my doctors, couldn't ask for more.

Dr Boone has treated my Mom for 3 different Cancers, the last one being ovarian cancer. The only positive thing that I can say is Thank Goodness he sent us to Compass Oncology in Portland you could not ask for a greater staff of people from reception to the Doctors and Nurses. My mother unfortunately by the time she was sent to Portland and surgery was preformed the cancer was to massive to contain. However the Surgeon and the Palliative care Doctor have been so supportive what a change. After my mother being a friend and patient of Dr. Boone for over 10yrs was sent to Portland that was it for his care and concern. Even after we were told nothing else could be done and she called Dr. Boone for his thoughts 5 times he never had the courtesy to return one of her calls. This is not what I call any type of AFTERCARE!!! I thank him only for the referral to Portland Compass Oncology they are AMAZING!!

They make appointments without consulting patient sending a card snail mail to notify patients of their allotted time. Getting insurance authorization for chemo was a nightmare they sent to non covered pharmacy and did not get life saving drugs in timely manner. We did all insurance leg work and still did not get life saving drugs in time to meet needed schedule for treatment. Wish I could sue this doctor for his lack of care and attitude that my hubby is too old to save. Substandard care at its best go to Portland if you have cancer worth the added cost and drive if you want to live.

Dr. Boone was able to figure out what was wrong with me and get me back to health. He always seems genuinely concerned about my well-being and took all the time I needed. It did mean that I often waited awhile, but he was taking that time with others, so I was never upset. He is a great doctor, and when he found out I got pregnant in the middle of treatment, he told me that if I ever felt awful to just come right on in and they would see me that day no matter what. He said, "I will do everything I can to help you carry this baby" and he did. Not only did I recover, I also gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Our family is still grateful for the care Dr. Boone gave us, and highly recommend him to others.

Dr Boone was remiss in not informing my husband that our insurance company, Clear Choice, did not cover the medicine that was both available and necessary to treat my husbands cancer effectively. Instead of giving us this important information he gave my husband no medication at all and he felt as though Dr Boone just lost interest in his case. By the time we got to Cancer Tx Center of America for a second opinion, they said that had my husband been given the drug sooner it would have prolongued his life enormously. But because of Dr. Boone's negligence, it was now too late and the cancer was too progressed for the drug to work. Had Dr. Boone been giving my husband the attention and treatment he deserved it is my belief that he would still be with me today.

Dr. Boone seems to be genuinely concerned with my well being & is extreamly knowedgable. None of the doctors I had visited in the past re: the issue I was seeing him for had thoroughly explained what was happening to me & he took the time to do so. He made me feel as though I was his only patient & I had all the time in the world to ask questions. Which is pretty rare these days. :) By educating me he helped me to gain back a sense of control I thought I had lost. I really appreciate all he has done.
