She was extremely expensive and didn’t help our marriage at all. She told us “just go have sex.” Her heart wasn’t in it at all.

I am a big fan of Dr. Liz Hale! I am what some people call a "Maven" -- someone others go to for help finding an expert or referral in an area they need help with. I am frequently asked if I know the name of a good therapist-- I always refer to Dr. Liz Hale. Experience has taught me that a good therapist helps you see your own "blind spots" and where you need to consider changing and NOT just where your spouse obviously needs to change. While I love being validated by a therapist, I am more interested in being changed and seeing how those changes create changes in my marriage. I have noticed in myself and many others, that when a person or therapist invites one to change their ways or views, that therapist then takes on the risk of becoming the "whipping boy/girl" -- It is almost like we have to find a reason to dislike the person who has "delivered the message" that change is needed on our part too. Maybe it seems less painful for us to focus on finding something wrong with the messenger, the therapist, then it is to have to confront our own weaknesses and pain and change. I don't know if this is possibly the case with any of these negative reviews, nor do I refer that it is, but I am sharing what I have observed in myself and in many others... it is EASY to be mad at the messenger! What I do know is that Dr. Liz is brilliant at what she does and that she is a gifted and enlightened marriage therapist. I would give her 10 STARS if that was an option here!

Dr. Liz Hale is the sole reason that I am still married. She is nonjudgemental, intuitive, and is extremely educated in her field. She devotes her time to whatever you need and does not send you away after each session until you feel you are ready. She is very professional, compassionate and kind. There is no point in seeing someone that sugar coats everything. Liz can "give it to you straight" without being offensive, and then she helps you work through everything. I highly recommend her; her fees are far less than $450 per hour for divorce Attorney's. And she helps you create a happier you, overall as an individual.

Dr. Hale was wonderful with me during a very difficult time in my life. Later, she helped a daughter. We both love her. She is kind, compassionate, and very reassuring.
Money was definitely not her priority. She is lovely.

Not sure where the negative reviews come from as she is excellent, both in terms of knowledge and compassion. Dr. Liz is Top Notch.
