Dr. Van Wert is the best! My daughter has been going to her since birth. We have followed her from Interlachen to RDV Peds, where she was most recently, and now on to TLC Peds where she is headed next. She takes all the time we need to discuss our child's health, and as first time parents, we are very diligent and thorough with our questions! She is smart, very experienced and overall, just a great doctor. My daughter loves her as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone! (Note: Perhaps the reviewer with the negative review was really more unhappy with Interlachen than Dr. Van Wert? At that practice, we had longer wait times, had experiences with rude staff members and felt more like a number. We were glad when Dr. Van Wert switched practices.)

My daughter has seen Dr. Van Wert on several occassions and we could not have been happier with her - she always takes the time to talk to both myself and my daughter to get to the root of whatever is ailing her, in fact, she just left the practice that has seen my child since birth and I am trying now to find where she has gone.

I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with the other comment on this page for Dr. Van Wert. She has been my doctor ever since I was born (I am 21 now), and every time she saw me she was extremely pleasant and direct in solving whatever the problem was. She is extremely knowledgable with a ton of experience, and when I went through a tough time in my teens in which I was inexplicably having seizures, she was there for me the whole time and figured out what was going on. I'm shocked at the other comment, because Dr. Van Wert made going to the doctor not so bad, and coming from someone who has known her their whole life, being the child - the patient - I think that's what counts. Plus, a bunch of my friends growing up in Maitland and Winter Park also went to Dr Van Wert and found her amusing and just as delightful, helpful, and knowledgable as I did. I love her!!

Unorganized, very poor communicator, not thorough, hot-headed, very arrogant, very loud, in a hurry, feel like a number, practice is only adept at handling well-visits.
