STAY AWAY! Appointment with Dr. Stephane Kaliner for a yearly physical. During the physical Dr. Kaliner asked me general health related questions any person should expect during a routine physical.

When I received the itemized bill, I noticed that not only was I charged for the physical, but also a separate medical visit. Nearly 600$ for an unimpressive 10 minute appointment.

When I called Tower Health (billing) to question the charges (my employer covers physicals 100%) and my balance of 61$, I was told that because Dr. Kaliner ASKED me questions that she and her office believed not to be physical related questions, I was charged for the physical and an additional visit.

During the conversation to dispute, I asked the representative from Tower Health billing “should I have ignored her questions?? Not answer?” I was told “YES”!

As a patient, how/ why should I be responsible to know any of this? The difference of questions?! My appointment was on 1/10/22 I just learned yesterday 4/13/22 that my dispute was denied and I am responsible for the 61$. If I don’t pay, a Tower Health rep. told me bill will be sent to a 3rd party collection agency. When I asked to speak to someone at the location where disputes are decided, a supervisor told me there is no phone number and that my only option was to submit an email.

If you’re reading this, FIND A DIFFERENT OPTION. “Dr.” Kaliner in my opinion was unimpressive. She and the staff at her office knowingly entered information into their system that would generate 2 separate charges. I believe we deserve better as patients. This is not only fraudulent, but an absolute disgrace.

I will be contacting/ working with my employer, insurance company, etc. to resolve the situation.

If you have read all of this, then you’re like me, someone who does their best to research decisions. Especially something as important like a doctor.

Dr Kaliner, Tower Health, and all involved - shame on all of you for taking advantage of a patient in the community you serve

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaliner for quite some time, I was reading the review below and wanted to rebuttal what that patient stated. Dr. Kaliner is one of the best Doctors I have been to. She is kind, has a wonderful bed side manner and cares. As far as how she practices, she is knowledgeable and has a passion for what she does. When I have gone to see her for a gyn visit she is very gentle and informative. Her assistant, is always kind, as well and very helpful, and her staff too. Its too bad that Dr. Kaliner has such an awful patient to say such awful things! To anyone who is looking for a VERY GOOD Doctor she is the one I would recommend.

hideous nurse and doctor. The nurse dropped tools, brought in the wrong swabs, forgot to wear gloves, she shushed me for crying out in pain during kaliner's rough pelvic exam. Kaliner likes her laptop, barely notices a patient. uncaring, flippant, and nurse gin is incompetent and unfocused. kaliner had to correct 3 mistakes of hers just in one simply office visit. i'll never return.

I am very disappointed in Dr. Kaliner and how she addresses your issues. If you try to discuss more than one issue at a visit, you will be brushed off and told to make another appointment for another day for each subsequent issue. I even tried to schedule a longer appointment in advance knowing I would like to discuss 2 issues at a single appointment and was denied per her staff at Dr. Kaliner's own discretion. Not the way to run a business. As a working mom my issues already get put off quite a bit so when I do finally address them I would at least like to get minimal attention and recommendations rather than put it off again for another appointment.

I had seen doctor Dr. K for many years and there were times I had been frustrated with her but I stuck with her because overall the good out weighed the bad. I have a severe chronic medical condition and it seemed like she was willing to take the time to help me since often my body fails me. A LOT of the closest people around me had told me to find someone new as they were frustrated in her lack of follow up care. Just recently I have seen the light, she was incredibly rude to me and decided she would no longer prescribe me medication that I need and have taken for years. She put me in danger in the way she took me off, which was way to fast and she practically pushed me out of the office with out letting express concerns. She is good with my daughter, she should stick to runny noses and strep throat with kids because she clearly can't handle adult care. I may even consider legal action!!!

Did not listen to a particular concern I had. Scoffed at me and treated me as if I was mentally challenged. Overheard her and a staff member laughing at a patient behind her back. What a snob! Has a very nice nurse. I think she can take a lesson from her on how to relate to her patients.

I found her to be not compassionate at all! She rolled her eyes at me and did not want to give me pain medicine. I wonder if she takes tylenol when she gets a headache or if she just suffers! There was a male dr at her practice when they started it but it is just her now! I am going to a wonderful dr now. She is in Limerick. Dr. D.B.

Dr. Kaliner is an excellent doctor. She is a great diagnostician as well as being thorough in her examinations. I have found her to be very understanding and concerned.I have read the negative comments and it is as though they were writing about a different doctor. I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Kaliner and highly recommend her to anyone (no matter the age) who is looking for a good, competent, understanding doctor.

I found her very condescending. She has a tendency to talk down to you and make you feel like an idiot. She needs to learn bedside manners.
