If you need a psychiatrist, Dr. Wakeman is the one to have in your corner. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about PTSD, listens to you, offers suggestions that are very helpful. He's not going to solve your problems FOR you, but works WITH you. Sometimes appointments can feel a bit rushed. Sometimes he gets backed up and you end up waiting in the reception area. Once inside, he's 100% focused on you.

I was referred to him by my family doctor, as a consult. He made me feel listened to, and seemed to know just how I was feeling. He didn't act like he knew everything or make me feel inferior. He recommended a book, which I read and found extremely helpful. His manner was very quiet and concerned, and not condescending. He put me at ease at a time in my life when I was very anxious. He truly made a difference in my life, and for that I am very grateful.

tries hard sometime, but sometimes is not a good trait when dealing with mental health.becomes timid quite easily.much better suited for female patients who he feels less intimidating.and is difficult to hear that he cant do anything and he never has, because there are alot of resources out there in which he is not aware.it is a shame because at one point there was a good modality but when you breach confidelity more than once the trust kinda goes out the window.
