It's years ago now, but Dr. Wakeman gave me an entirely new lease on life, and I will be forever grateful. I was referred to him for what was supposed to be a one time consult by my doctor, but Dr. Wakeman kept me on as a patient that he saw regularly for well over a year. He was patient, kind, never condescending and gave me a lot of hope. He was able to provide me with a proper diagnosis, and worked with me to find the right combination of medication to help me to be truly stabilized after years of getting misdiagnosed or given the brush off by other doctors. Dr. Wakeman is an expert in his field and an absolute treasure. I have rarely come across another health care professional , or, in fact, a human being, that shows the kind of care and compassion that he does.

This doctor drugged me up so badly for years all he wanted was to label me with every mental illness and put me on large dosages of meds.he’s full of crap.he was the one who needed psychiatric help.Wakeman would put his hands on my head and give me blessings from God that he said would cure me. He freaked me out so badly after a couple years I got my sanity back and never went back.He tries to brainwash you. I went to my family doctor and now I’m on almost no medication and doing great.Wakeman is full of crap

After seeing Dr Wakeman for a dozen years, I cannot leave a good review. I am not very much better than I was then. We’ve sat in his room with me talking and him drawing pictures (he’s an artist) and me getting nowhere. He sorted my meds. But in the end he hates me for some fn reason. Screw him

I have known Dr. Wakeman for decades. He is an awesome psychiatrist for some.....but not for everyone. For people who are Christian and for people who like to know that their psychiatrist has had his own struggles, this is the doctor for you! For people who want a more scientific perspective and a feeling their psychiatrist is infallible, this is the doctor for you.

Cannot recommend Doctor Wakeman enough. His old school approach and religion-based spirituality were a welcome reprieve from the last doctor who hired a female psychometrist to write notes for them (as well as mitigate allegations of sexual misconduct), and actually read questions from their cellphone. So yeah, choose Wakeman if you can.

I have been seeing doctor Wakeman for almost the last 2 decades. With all my mental health issues I am happy that he has stuck with me through thick and thin. I'm happy to have him as my doctor and definatley recommend him

So many years ago I saw him. With help from the church I am healed of bpd. He diagnosed me and Jesus helped me find the roots. I am free.
