I was a little nervous until I got to Dr. Shackleton's office. As well as requiring an unexpected root canal, I have braces. He was highly recommended to me and now I see why. He has an amazing personality and is very skilled at doing root canals. I never even felt the needle to freeze my tooth and he and his assistant kept asking if I was ok. Before I knew it he was finished. The freezing has gone and my mouth is not sore at all. It was an amazing experience with the entire group and I would not hesitate to go back there again. Thank you so much for taking away my fear and anxiety. I will recommend Dr. Shackleton to everyone I know.

Dr. Shackleton and his amazing team are outstanding professionals who not only exhibit optimal knowledge and deliver excellent services, but also show understanding, sensitivity, for patient well-being. I had my second root canal done this week, and like the first one several years ago, it was an excellent experience. Excellent Dental care by everyone at this office. This was by far one of the best clinics in Calgary I have ever been too. I had to get a broken file taken out of my root because of my family dentist who accidently broke it. I was referred here. Dr. Vessal and Dr. Shackleton were able to take it out and were so caring and compassionate not to mention skilled at what they do. The lady who assisted was so wonderful too. Very kind lady. What a great experience considering I had to have a root canal. I am from out of town but working in Calgary. When my problem came up I was referred to Dr. Shackleton's office. I had never had a root canal so I was nervous about what was going to happen. Dr. Shackleton and his staff were amazing. The appointments were right on time. Everyone was friendly and professional and Dr. Shackleton himself was awesome. He assured me up front that it would be a painless as possible and every step throughout he let me know what he was doing and how it was going. In the end I had no pain during the procedure and afterwards only a couple doses of Advil. Excellent experience considering what had to be done. Recommend his and his team to anyone.

I've never experienced a pain free visit to a Dentist/Orthodontist before in my life, and am a little sad to say I've had a lot of experience when it comes to dentistry. I was referred to Dr. Shackleton to re.treat 3 root canals done by another dentist that were not completed successfully . The situation required a specialist and this is how I was was referred. Dr. Shackleton, Tara the assistant, and Suzanne the secretary of the clinic were all AMAZING. Being hesitant and nervous going to get my first root canal procedure done was quickly changed by the professionalism and genuine patient advocacy all the staff had shown me. For myself working shift work and having constantly changing schedules made booking the consult, procedure, and follow up appointments a shot in the dark. However Suzanne had made it SO easy and worked around me as best as they could and adjusted everything with such kindness. Dr Shackleton and Tara made my experience a great one, answered any questions I had, genuinely cared and had a interest in spending a few minutes to get to know me as a person rather then treating me strictly as a patient. Being in the health care profession myself, I can honestly say I am extremely impressed with the quick procedure, the professionalism, and the kindness.
