Norfolk General Hospital

the doctors are not interested in patient recovery. the nursing bstaff are negligent/rude and lazy. My mother was discharged under duress from the hospital and should have been referred to a respirologist at the very least.No internist was called and discharge was handled very poorly and staff were ognorant from admission to discharge. i would fire the entire nursing staff and replace with compitent caring professionals and send these lazy unpolished individuals to work in a factory where they would be paid minimum wage.It was a complete nightmare from beginning to end with absolutely no communication from staff to family or patient.I would have this hospital investigated.

Hospital is dirty! Crud caked in corners, cleaning staff hardly clean anything. If you can't walk to toilet then odds are good you'll have a catheter put in. Nurses have a 'do not disturb' look on their faces. You hear 'I don't know' a lot. Father was left alone when he could not breath and was in crisis. He was sent eventually to a large city hospital where the differences were astounding! The city hospital was clean, the nurses on the ball and everyone was friendly. Norfolk General is filthy and the staff are lazy and going to another hospital shows that clearly.
