All the good things, and more. I wish there was a more obvious counseling staff there. I had questions, and most nurses were great about answering them. Everyone, with one or two exceptions) has been wonderful at walking me through my treatment, which is quite minor in comparison to what others are going through. I am grateful to have the Cancer Centre right here in town and REALLY appreciate the parking garage discount. I encourage the staff to make sure that we are told right upfront about the 93$ for 3 months. I paid full price 3 times before I stumbled across the info by accident. Oh, my only complaint is that I only met my doctor because I came to treatment and wasn't feeling well. I needed someone to look in my ear and tell me if it looked red, or whatever. The nurse huffed and puffed through my request and spoke down to me. I did find out her name, but I have forgotten it. It is very hard to actually SEE your doctor. And, do NOT get sick over the Christmas break. The whole Ontario health system breaks down and no help is available between Christmas and New Year. Still, 5 stars because I am grateful for it all!!

My husband Patrick Bause, has been treated for stage 4 lung cancer at GRCC for the last 2 1/2 years. Dr Mithoowani, his nurse Jen, the lab techs, and staff have been so kind, caring, and supportive of us during this time. The care was superb. Sadly, this week he lost his battle, but we had 2 1/2 more years with him in relatively good health and able to participate in many more new adventures during that time. We appreciate the extra time more than we can say. Thank you so much. God bless you all.

There have been challenges during my breast cancer treatment which will continue for some time yet. I'm very impressed with my oncologist, radiation oncologist and radiation nurses, pharmacist, and for sure with the staff in the chemo and radiation suites! I did not have a good experience with my oncology nurse, but for whatever reason I've not seen her again since kind of calling her out in an appointment. It;'s a very stressful time there now, with COVID-19, and I feel so badly for the patients who have to have treatment while their immune systems are down. BUT, GRCC is doing an amazing job to keep everyone safe, kudos to every single person who is part of that care group!!!

Absolutely fantastic experience with the treatment of my prostate cancer. Everyone up beat and engaged-made an effort to know me on a first named basis, laughed at my jokes designed to hide my nervousness, and made me feel a part of the :="treatment" team. Appointments scheduled within a week wow

I have to say I had the worst experience at this hospital. My oncologist, her nurse, and the radiologist were all terrible. The only good staff there were the volunteers and the nurses who actually administer your chemo or radiation. Dr Califertti gave me the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. She treats you as a number not as a patient. She rushes you out so you barely have enough time to ask any questions. She made numerous mistakes with relaying information about my treatment but always had excuses. It was never her fault! She doesn’t care about how you are feeling or any side effects your having. I was pregnant at the time of treatment so when I had side effects she just passed it off as pregnancy. It was the chemo suite nurses who actually told me what I could do. Her “nurse” Anita can’t answer any questions. She doesn’t listen because she is too busy trying to finish your sentence for you. I don’t even think she is a real nurse. I would highly suggest anyone needing treatment to find another hospital to attend.

This is the most wretched Canadian hospital it has ever been my misfortune to enter. The building itself is dirty and nursing staff is as disagreeable as the physical plant. Mostly, they just don't care. My husband, a cancer patient, was being treated in London but had to attend at GRH for ancillary treatments such as blood transfusions and imaging. On every occasion, staff managed to fumble some aspect of his treatment, always with serious consequences for London Health Sciences, which then had to repeat several of these procedures. They repeatedly failed to provide LHS with test results or imaging assessments in a timely fashion, twice with serious consequences to my husband's care. If you need to be treated in hospital, I would advise a drive to London or Hamilton. This hospital is undeserving of the single star that is required to post these comments.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer but my experience was very unpleasant . Felt rushed. Nurse talked so fast it was hard to think. Asked how treatment was going but I had not started any treatment then proceeded to ask why I was there. Left feeling like I never wanted to go back, let alone ask any questions! Thank heaven the surgeon was great and was willing to answer questions.

Being diagnosed with prostate cancer, I met the Doctors and staff. Through my radiation treatment, I found them to be thorough, professional and understanding. It amazes me that they have genuine compassion for all who face the challenges of cancer. Special thanks to Dr Rachaconda who led me through it with a positive attitude and vital information. My results are good. I attribute that to the work done by the competent staff and early detection. Kudos to all at GRCC and thanks! Brian Sweezey.

I had excellent care at Grand River Cancer center. The technicians, the doctors, the nurses all amazing. Battling breast cancer is hard enough but when you have great care it helps! Thank you!
