I do not how to begin. The costumer service I received from the MA Sandra from the Edinburg clinic was worst than horrible. I had taken myself the referal to bring my daughter to this clinic I found with this specialist so that they could check her tonsil. I had words from my daughters pediatrician that her problem might cause her sleep apnea. So maybe they were going to test her for that and maybe do more tests in order to help her with a growth that she has in a tonsil. I have my mother in law helped me to take my daughter to an appointment that I had to literally beg for. Because online at UTGV health they had told me they had appointments only at 4:20 pm on august 8/31 and next appt was until September 20 at 1 pm The costumer service online told me those dates. Once I get to the doctor’s office they tell me everything is full until November. So I asked to see if they can check my 9 year old girl. Because I am worried about her. The day of the appointment comes and my mother in le takes my baby here, since they are hesitant to speak to her. She shows them an agreement we have where she can be responsible of my daughter in case I’m not there. The doctor speaks to my daughter in law explaining that she was going to check her past medical history and exams and check if and when she was going to perform a surgery and during that surgery she would try to examine some other random tissue by my daughter’s throat. The doctor told my mother in law that she will call us and talk more to us about the continuation of the situation. After “reading” and “examining” all the previous tests. The doctor calls me looking for mom to talk to her about my daughter. When I called back the MA SANDRA does not want to pass me the doctor or schedule a meeting to discuss the details about the finding or tests previously done on my daughter. She did not want to schedule any time for clarification. Yet they wanted to schedule a surgery date. I have never even done any type of abnormal microbiology test or any type of test besides the X-rays that the pediatrician had seen. I demand a better service for the parents and relatives that are concerned about their children’s health. The MA SANDRA was very judgemental and even responded that she did not have to share any information if the mother did not take care of her child. This was very absurd given the fact that I have my daughter with me and have full custody of her and I am still married to her dad and take care of her and take her to doctor. I was also told to GO AHEAD AND GET ANOTHER DOCTOR. If my daughter is taking longer to get the attention needed is because this person or the clinic is making it harder to get the medical attention needed. I know that this doctor is a great doctor I did not get the chance to talk to her. But I hope that judgemental people like Sandra do not have more opportunities to hold health attention from little children. Preventing them to get the right treatment in a timely manner.
Please do not waste your time or money visiting this office. Look at the reviews here on Google... Notice how the positive reviews don't have any "likes" from other patients, while the negative reviews have multiple. With that being said, I called before visiting the office with all of my insurance information. I was told by the office staff that my insurance would be accepted, and the visit would be completely. On the day of my appointment I was filling out forms, and I was told I had to pay a copay. I immediately thought this was strange. When I asked how much, I was given a price range between $30 and $50. I agreed to paying the fee, as I knew my insurance would be covering the rest. When they finally called me in for my visit, the assistant took me back to the room to wait on the doctor. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00am, and the doctor did not enter the room until 8:50am, so almost an hour of wait time. Three Patients who checked in after me were seen and left the office before me. Once the doctor arrived, she checked each of my ears (literally less than 3 seconds each). Then, out of nowhere she left the room abruptly. I continued to wait for another 10-15 minutes. She finally returned and basically explained that there was nothing that she could do about my symptoms. Upon leaving, I was charged a copay, which I paid in full. The office staff made no mention of me owing anything beyond the copay, and I even asked to be sure. Then, (2 weeks later) I get another bill in the mail saying that I owe $200+ more than what I paid when I left my appointment! I called, asking to speak to the Office Manager. I explained the situation, and the Office Manager said she would be contacting my insurance company for clarification, and giving me a return call later that day. Well, that "return call" never happened. I called back a week later and the Office Manager was "in a meeting." I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt obligated to in this situation. Please avoid this office at all costs.

Very friendly great staff and awesome personality highly recommend
Hardly any wait time has an awesome staff , can't say that about any doctor. Had pre -existing conditions , that another clinic with same type of specialty didn't give me the time of day, rude made me feel I was wasting their time , found Dr Rodriguez in the newspaper , gave her a call , and the rest is history ! Listened to my symptoms (very patient ) made me feel at ease and very comfortable , and she set out a plan of action .and her assistant Daniela is an asset to Dr.Rodriguez .I would highly recommend Dr.Rodriguez to any one , and have done so . Very pleased with my choice .all high 5's [email protected]. Hgn.Tx. Submitted : July 09,2018
Front desk is great about calling to confirm appointments, as well as calling to reschedule when a patient has missed an appointment. Dr. Rodriguez did such a great job when it came to explaining something I didn’t understand. She has an awesome staff and the office environment is wonderful.
