I am one of the parents of a child who is undergoing peanut therapy with xolair. My son has asthma and nut plus peanut allergy. The treatment is not covered by Ohip but I feel it’s totally worth it. Dr Lee was extremely patient and gave us long appointments at the end of the day. I would highly recommend. Also Dr Lee you get the sense instantly he’s a genuinely nice person. My sister has been a patient of his for 7 years and first recommended me to him. A few other options including sickkids was tried but the risk of being in placebo was not worth it.

With dr lee you’re never waiting for long and he’s been my doctor for 8 years. I’m continually amazed at his work and have been secretly following his podcasts.

I'm surprised by the complaints listed on this page because I have not only had wonderful interactions with Dr. Lee, but his entire office staff as well. It's certainly possible that the people complaining about the staff aren't acknowledging the sheer number of people being served at Toronto Allergists (yet they still manage to remember everyone's names). They explicitly state on the voicemail that email is a better means of communication and that it could take a couple of days, ALSO that if you're having an emergency, go to a hospital. Let's try and remember the difference between a medical specialist and an emergency situation.

Came here to say what many others have already said. Dr. Lee is fantastic and I have been seeing him for 4 years now for allergy treatment. He is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I always leave the office feeling positive. I have seen improvements on my allergies as well. I highly recommend him as an allergist. However, in the past year or two, reception service has declined terribly. It is extremely hard to get answers out of them by phone or email. You can leave messages or send emails but they will get back to you 1 time out of 10. This is very frustrating and concerning when you spend hundreds of dollars a year on allergy shot treatment, and you can’t get ahold of the people you gave your money to. One receptionist who worked there around 2016/2017 was absolutely great. Not sure what has changed since then – but seeing as the negative reviews about staff are all from 2019 I’m sure the office could evaluate to find the problem.

Dr lee needs new staff. I also echo the reviews below and don’t have much to add. I’ve been seeing dr lee for about two years. He’s amazing but his staff is unresponsive. If you do get through to dr lee himself you will get the best care in The universe. If you can’t, it’s frustrating.

Cant help but repeat much of what has been said below. I drove 5 hours to see dr.lee and left his office feeling informed and happy. That's when the care seemed to stop. I have been having negative side effects from one of the drugs he prescribed me and also have questions about interaction with some new drugs i have been prescribed by my family docter. I have tried calling his office a ridiculous number of times with no answer, tried leaving voice messages, and also emails and have had zero response in over 3 weeks. To make it worse , the medication I have been prescribed has to be taken every day and I was instructed that if I miss more the one dose I have to travel back to Toronto to resume the medication under supervision of his office. I cannot help feeling extremely frustrated and neglected. I could only wish the care and follow up provided afterwards was as good as my initial appointment.

They do not return calls or respond to emails. Referred more than 60 days ago by my family doctor and I am yet to get an appointment for a consult.

best doctor. a few negatives: his staff don't always answer the phone. i had to keep trying. come to think of it, that is the only negative. a few positives: - he was the only doctor to explain why I needed the therapy recommended by a few other doctors. - he was the only one to call out phototherapy for what it is, a waste of time for eczema. he used those exact terms. no beating around the bush - he appealed several times for coverage of my medication and got it for me when other doctors gave up or suggested phototherapy or terrible medications with bad side effects. my life is so much better now and my eczema is non existent.

I agree he’s 5/5. He solved for me a problem no one else could. He was recommended by a work friend of mine. He was way better than the previous two allergists I saw.

I came very far to see Dr. Lee. I saw Dr. Jason Lee in under 5 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. check in is easy, he has you fill out some forms on an ipad. I had seen other allergy doctors and explained what I was experiencing. I went for a second opinion. He took the time to explain what the other doctors had done and why they recommended the new medication. Although both Dr. Lee and the other doctor came to the same conclusion I felt much more comfortable switching doctors. I saw the previous review and I certainly saw no hint of what was written. My appointment took about an hour because of him explaining. He showed me a presentation that he had prepared. Many of doctor lee's presentations are on line or on youtube for which he provided links for. I've since been back about 3 times mainly to start my injections.
