As a retired OR nurse, I feel Dr. Cowan has excellent hands, especially for laparoscopic procedures. Excellent surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Cowan after my first child was determined breech. Dr. Cowan was known for his ability to preform breech version and he did with a couple attempts and failed. I felt so comfortable and confident with his knowledge and ability that I decided to go back to him for the c-section delivery. He did a remarkable job on my incision and delivery of my first child. My second child was delivered VBAC by my family doctor, but would have returned to him if I required another c-section. I recommend Dr. Cowan 110%!!!

Dr. Cowan delivered my second child and I was extremely happy with his care. He is very down-to-earth and is easy to talk to. I would recommend him to everyone! He always made me feel comfortable even in circumstances that are usually uncomfortable.

Best OB/Gyn anywhere. I trust Dr Cowan with my life. Would and do recommend him to everyone. First met in ER when i miscarried - he was viewing my ultrasound on his day off and wasnt comfortable not having a second look to ensure the baby wasnt viable. It wasnt but he wanted to be sure. 2 years later I required an External Version as my daughter was breech and he flipped the baby into position by pushing on my stomach. I had heard horror stories from others about pain and problems but with Dr Cowan, neither. Was told by the nurse he has the best success in this procedure. He has been there to deliver both my girls and always told me exactly what to expect and how things will play out. He is usually right, **I only say usually because things often went easier than he told me to expect. Dr Cowan, thank you. For your quiet, understated manner, sense of humour and above all the knowledge and dedication you have provided to the women and babies of Brantford.

i had Dr. Cowan as well, and just like everyone else i always thought that he was a really swwet kind man. It really seems like he knows what he's doing, we need more doctors like him. Thats funny how this one girl mentined that he would not look her in the eye. i know exactly what u mean , but hey maby he's just shy,other then that i would recommend this doctor for sure.KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DR.COWAN!!!!

I had surgery about 5 yrs ago for metal poisoning. If it weren't for Dr. Cowan, I would be dead. He saved my life and I will never forget him. He is the most intelligent Dr. I have ever known. It was truly an honour to have had him for my doctor.

I had the Dr for sugery . He was very caring and efficent. I feel he is very intelligent and has a great bedside manner.

Dr. Cowan was the specialist in my care when I had to be induced with my first baby. He was very reliable and professional. He took the time to explain what was happening. The only thing I noticed that was odd, was he would not look me in the eye. I requested he give me a "nice incision" as I was being preped for a C-section. And he did!!! I plan on going back to him with my next baby.

Very very knowledgeable. I owe him my first child...without Dr Cowan I would not have my son. His very calm. I also had my tubes tied by Dr Cowan...no pain, no side affects..very things went great. I was told I could have bad pain in my upper body caused by gas but I didn't and the nurse said I probably won't have pain because Dr Cowan was my doctor...she was right. If you want to know a doctor ask a nurse..they know.

An amazing Dr.... He is always very friendly and is very smart. He knows when to react and when to take action. Very calming and has an amazing bedside manor. Very highly recommend him
