He has operated on me twice. And was amazing both times. I have friends with similar surgeries, and they haven't done as well. He is #1 in my book. Hopefully I won't need surgery again, but if I do - I pray he will be available.

STAY AWAY!!! Went in with a herniated disk in my neck. They put a nerve block in the wrong place (middle of my back). And after I told him about where the shot was, he agreed it was in the wrong place and then proceeded to do nothing about it! Now I have stenosis and chronic back pain in my neck, mid and lower back every day. Stay away from these hacks! I should've sued for malpractice.

Dr. Adamson just did a micro endoscopic discectomy C6-7 (12/1)and I am NO longer in pain. He is wonderful. I asked to see him prior to surgery and he came in smiling - in no hurry to answer my questions. He is top notch and would recommend him to anyone in need of spinal surgery. D Johnson

Dr. Adamson performed a micro discectomy on a ruptured L5S1. I am in my twenties with a baby and was scared of having this surgery. Started with injections and PT but after rupturing it a second time, opted for surgery. I woke up pain free and continue with minimal nerve pain 2 mos post op. The only complaint I had was him not talking with me immediately before or after they surgery and the wait time to get an appt with him.

I went to Dr. Adamson after being diagnosed with a ruptured cervical disc and large ridge spur. He told me he could do a surgery from the back of the neck which I found out later was not correct. I came out of surgery with more pain and it increased to an extreme measure, all the while he said nothing was wrong. Another MRI showed a huge ridge spur and ruptured disc, the same as before his surgery to fix the problem. The imaging people were aghast and ask me "Didn't you just have surgery?" I found out later his miro surgery for your cervical is a procedure they did in the 1940's and stopped it. Dr.'s started going through the front of the throat so you could have a clear view of what you are doing. Going through the back of the neck they have to feel around with a hook and cannot see what they are doing. Outcome: A 2nd surgery to fix the problem and severe nerve (pain) damage from Dr. Adamson's 1st surgery. No let up from the pain even after 2 years.

It's all about the money and #'s now- cut you up and kick you out. I don't think his ego can take it if he makes a mistake. Mine was a big one that will last forever.

Most noteworthy was not my experience with Dr. Adamson, but rather my experience in his waiting room for nearly two hours past my scheduled appointment. While in his waiting area, more than seven of his patients engaged me in conversation where they openly complained about the back surgeries that he had performed on them. Not one of his patients was pleased, and all of them stated that they wished they never had the surgeries that he performed. Three of his patients reported becoming more disabled after the surgery, four of them complained that they had to have repeated surgeries to remove bone spures, and reoccurrances with severe back pain. All of them reported have more severe back, leg, arm and neck pain than they were previously experiencing prior to having surgery! I found seen Dr. Adamson on two seperate occassions and agree that he was not quick to go to the knife as someone else reported, but at the same time he never resolved my severe stenosis (as he diagnosed it)!

I went for a simple surgery and woke up from surgery in more pain then I came in with, and since then I have not been able to go one day without pain pills, before the surgery I had this problem for years and never had to take the pills this much just occasionally. My after care was very bad too at the surgical center, as well as the staff at the office a lot of them are rude especially the scheduler. I am very frustrated, in disappointment and pain. I just want to be able to function again and off these pain pills i have to take around the clock after the surgery. He is a very busy doctor and it took me 2 months to get in to see him after the surgery, even with all the pain i was having. Over all I felt treated like cattle.I have been to another doctor that will be doing my 2nd surgery since Dr Adamson did not do the first one successfully, and he actually wanted to do the same unsuccessful surgery on me again. NO thank you!Good luck anyone reading, hope you have better luck than I.

I had a rare benign brain tumor at a young age and was referred to Dr. Adamson. I went in to his office as an "interview" and he was hired with flying colors. He took time to explain all concerns and I never felt rushed! I was shown all my scans and he was flexible with his schedule. Also, his nurse Laura was friendly and helpful. Their staff was courteous and paperwork was never a problem. By far the best physician I've had! I don't want to have surgery again...but if I did I would trust Dr. Adamson.

Dr. Adamson has been my Neurosurgeon for several years. I have advanced Spinal Degeneration and he has done all my surgeries. He is the very best and truly compassionate. I highly recommend him. It can take time to get an appointment and oft times the wait time can be lenghty as he is often late. I am sure for good reason.
