I wanted to go off birth control and she kept insisting that I shouldn’t even though that’s my own decision. When I mentioned that I was hurting during the exam she still continued. When I got emotional she started laughing at me. She didn’t want to listen to me and didn’t show compassion.

I had my first baby with Lori. It’s been 7 years and I’m educated now. Lori said these words in order to guilt me into scheduling an induction “if something happens and you didn’t listen to me, can you live with your choice?” I had a perfectly healthy baby who was forcefully removed via medically UNnecessary induction, he was treated horribly by the nurses, deep suction, chest compressions, etc. when he was totally fine and I have pictures to prove it, his lips were pink and he was transitioning. They just weren’t allowed in the room until he was born so they freaked out! She had her hand inside of me to remove a cervical lip (again, unnecessary, unwanted, and without consent). I sustained, what appears to be a 2nd degree tear which she did not tell me about. She went to town stitching without asking or explaining my choices or alternative options. Her repair did not hold, she did not check it postpartum, and I have been walking around for 7 years with an unhealed 2nd degree tear. How many more young moms were treated this way? I hope they too become educated and can see the damage done and find healing.
