Always out of office, never notifies patients. Not okay for an addiction specialist.

My initial visit with doctor was to be treated for high blood pressure(my previous doctor of 4 yrs.stopped taking my insurance)He never took my blood pressure. He only asked what meds I was prescribed.I've been going there for about 2 yrs now and have only taken my blood pressure maybe once.Other problems I've come in with like infection of the eyelid (which I had before) he asked what meds I wanted.Another time I came in for pain he asked the same thing.I feel like he is not thorough enough. My previous Doc checked my blood and urine for screenings of kidneys and other organ damage due to my blood pressure he has never done that.My blood pressure is always high and I feel its time to switch my meds,as my previous doc would occasionally do.He even offered to prescribe dietary meds.Something my previous Doc told me absolutely not with High blood pressure.I'm never in the exam room more than 5 min.I think after being a patient my doc should know me and my body more.Looking for a new Doc.

They where very friendly in the beginning and now that I've been going there for 7 months I ask if they could call me something in for a week and I would make appointment for the next week they acted like I was some one begging on a street corner

Extremely friendly receptionist, very easy to talk to. One of those friendly women that you can talk to like you've known them for years and will actually smile and carry a conversation with you if you so please. Rather small waiting room, but not too crowded. Was about 10 minutes late seeing me in the back, but it was a busy day and I was also finishing paper work. Dr. Shull was extremely friendly, we went over my medical history and my history with antidepressants (I thought I had exhausted my options until I met with Dr. Shull), and he sent me home with a prescription that is actually working! I no longer have a constant feeling of hopelessness or inability to become motivated, my anger has subsided, my performance at work has improved. I cannot thank him enough for hitting the nail on the head on my very first visit, after trying LISTS of other meds from other doctors. Best doctor that has treated me BY FAR.

Dr. Shull came in and immediately started talking about my weight. I went to him for a physical, and he took my blood pressure and weight. THAT'S IT! He's a rude, old, grumpy man! Oh! And then he kept talking about how fat I was. RUDE!
