Ratings for Dr. Lynn Price
I was looking for a new primary care physician, since my doctor of several years decided not to business with my insurance carrier any longer. Yesterday, I was my first visit with Dr. Price regarding a chronic cough and pain under my right shoulder blade. I explained to her that I thought I had pneumonia, since these were the symptoms I had the last time I had pneumonia (I know my body). I specifically wanted an x-ray to rule out pneumonia, since we were going out of town in two days and would be gone for two weeks. She told me "she" would assess whether or not an x-ray was needed. (Keep in mind, I was more than willing to pay extra for an x-ray if my insurance company would not. You agree to this when you sign the paperwork.) She told me people my age don't usually get pneumonia. I found this odd, since I know of several cases of this happening to people my age, me included. She then gave me a breath test, a breathing treatment, and another breath test to compare the results - then told me I had asthma. I immediately left there and drove to InstaCare and requested an x-ray. I had a slight fever, they listened to my breathing and gave me an x-ray. Pneumonia clearly showed up in my right lung - it was throughout the entire lower lobe. They gave me a shot, a prescription, and sent me on my way. This was yesterday. Today, I'm feeling so much better and I know tomorrow will be even better because of the correct treatment. Her misdiagnosis could have made me really ill and definitely would have ruined our get-away that had planned months ago. Thank goodness I didn't listen to her. I gave two stars because she is very nice and made an effort, but the trust isn't there for me. I will now pay out of pocket to go back to my previous doctor.
The only thing I want to say is this doctor doesn't care about patient's issues at all. You tell her about your problem and she has that smile like you are telling her a b.s... Like she knows better if you have that problem or not. You live in pain every single day and she tells you EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. And she doesn't even listen to you. She interrupts all the time like she knows better what is going on with your body. She acts like she doesn't have a time and she has more important things to do... This is how I felt... I would never see this doctor again...
I love Dr Price. She is easy to talk to, listens very well. She has helped me reduce my medication intake. She is always there to help me take better care of my health without being condescending.I think she is fantastic.
While Dr Price would see my elderly mother for appointments Dr. Price failed at being responsive to a living patient of her's in St. Mark's on the Progressive Care Floor.I personally went to her office to advise her of my mother's condition, while she wasn't there her staff said they would contact her. SHE NEVER RESPONDED to our request. My mother was later sent home a week later and pasted 5/21. The hospice staffed wanted to know her physician was, I gave them Dr. Price name and number but was told Dr. Price didn't respond. Dr. BHATT and Dr, Shockey visited and cared for my mother with sincere concern and honesty. Dr. Price failed to respond to anything except the insurance money paid to her by routine visits. I guess there was no line item for Dr. Price to charge for visits in a hospital. I was very disappointed and wanted all families to know what they might expect should they encounter an emergency and who they could count on. Surely not Dr. Price find someone else for compassion.
I have called spoken with her office staff , I have inform her I am a new patients and would like to see DR. Price she said well have to schedule for next day , I then said ok is there a way I can speak with her nurse for general request of seeing her today ? the girl first said they going to tell you same thing , then she put me on mute for long 5 minutes , then she came back said I will transfer for you to her nurse Dara then I was on mute for 5 minutes . so I ahve hang up then call back the same office girl answer said she cant see you today , after early she said she was going to transfer me to the nurse first . What I have see here is the office staff giving me 2 differents infomation . poor customer service I wa told this is a best Doctor in town , but was not aware she has a poor office staff .
Dr. Price is always willing to listen and never hurries you out the door. She is genuinely caring and if she can't help you, she will find someone who will.
Dr. Price was puntual and gave us plenty of her time. She was very helpful in evaluating my teenage son's symptoms. She discovered something his other doctors had totally missed: That he was a borderline diabetic with insulin resistance. She brought that to our attention while there was still time to reverse it through dietary changes. I am so grateful to her for that. The only thing I did not like was than I think her fingernails are too long for a healthcare worker.
I had a large lipoma removed from my back by Dr. Price...there is hardly a scar!
