Called for a simple question and Maria the receptionist was very rude. One question and I get attitude..
Excellent Dentist and staff. Explains every procedure. Is gentle and caring
I have had 3 gum flaps done by 3 other periodontists in the past 20 years.I was dreading this one because i did not like the actual procedure nor recovery.I was so pleasantly surprised that not only was Dr. Chung professional but extremely gentle and informative. He expained each step and checked on my comfort before going to the next step. Before, i knew it, it was over and it was done without any pain nor discomfort. My antibiotics were ordered before my procedure so that when i was done it was ready at the pharmacy with no wait time. The letter for post operational care was easy to follow.I would recommend Dr. Ching for all your preiodontal needs.I had this procedure done in his Greenwich, CT office. His assistant Betsy was the best, cheerful, helpful and informative. My recovery was very quick and smooth.
This is one of the only perio offices where the hygeinist scales some pockets, and you have to return for Dr. Chung to scale deeper than 3 mm. With all the training hygeinists get in school, why are they not getting the entire job done? Hygeinists are supposed to be better at scaling than dentists due to their extensive training and dextrous hands. Why hasn't dentistry figured out a way to save bone-all the scaling in the world doesn't prevent plaque bacteria. Why hasn't dentistry found an enzyme to break up plaque biofilm so that implants-proof of dentistry's failure- are unnecessary? Where's the evidence that modern dentistry prevents bone loss? Could all the flossing and scaling be causing tooth loss?
Excellent implant dentistry. Have had 3 implants, highly skilled, the pain was minimal, was in the chair for approx. 2 1/2 hours and went home with no pain nor swelling. Gives good after care.
This is in reference to a comment that called Dr. Chung the worst dentist ever. I have to question that reviewers motives. I've been to several periodontists, in my 60 years, and Dr. Chung is not only very knowledgeable, but as gentle as a lamb. He explained everything to me in a professional, non-condescending manner. I would not only highly recommend Dr. Chung, but call anyone crazy, in the Stamford, Ct area, that didn't use him. Dr. Chung, you are the best!
Dr Chung is an excellent doctor- i have had a few procedures done there and everyone is professional and they are always on time for appts. I highly recommend Dr Chung for any periodontic work. I also had gum grafting done- twice- and he is an artist. He has a kind manner and is highly skilled. Highly recommended.
Worst Dr. ever! Went for a routine evaluation, he probed so hard and caused excessive bleeding, he caused a full blown mouth infection, caused me to lose many teeth. He cost me thousands of dollars to fix his damage, he never apologized or followed up to see how I was. He over prescribed antibiotics and I ended up in the hospital w/clostridium, c difficile. BEWARE!!!
This guy is great. Great skills and great chair-side manner. His support staff is excellent also.
