He gave me plenty of time to discuss and to ask questions during our visit. I knew that he had a plan in mind that I couldn't even comprehend but he did his best to explain the obstacles that he came across during surgery. He waited with my husband to talk to both of us. While I was out of it and didn't care, he made sure that my husband knew what he expected the outcome to be by how well the surgery went. I cannot give him or Bonnie (his nurse) a higher compliment than to say that they were both fully present during, after and before my surgery. I had callbacks once home from surgery and he checked, rechecked and had someone remove the stitches. There wasn't a time that he didn't get back to me when I called the office. I was treated like I was his only patient when I knew that he had an office full of people. I would not only recommend him, He is the guy that you want to be working on you during a crisis with your knee, hips, ankles. He will find a way to solve all issues.

On the day of the surgery, he came into room and asked how my ankle was doing, i neverously chuckled because it was my KNEE he was going to operate on and thought he was making light hearted joke. Never saw after surgery, on my follow-up appt waited 30+mins for him to come in to touch my knee to tell me he'll have a RN remove my sutures and left-literally 1 1/2 mins tops. Found out after I received the hospital bill that he removed my menisucus' without informing me and not what we discussed at the pre-op meeting. My fiance` who was in the waiting room told me he spent about 1-2 mins talking to her about my procedure after 2 hrs and left abruptly before she could further ask simple questions. His personal nurse who you can call with questions is grouchy and attitude on phone seems like she's annoyed at your ?s. WOULD HIGHLY NOT recommend at all. Still dealing with soreness and tenderness on knee. Procedure was simple ACL reconstruction over 1 1/2 years ago.

Dr. Hausserman operated on my shoulder and wrist two years ago. I originally went in complaining of shoulder pain and couldn't move my shoulder. He couldn't figure it out and sent me to have my wrist checked for carpal tunnel. Dr. who did carpal tunnel testing said my shoulder pain was not caused by my carpal tunnel. Dr. H still wanted to schedule the wrist surgery without finding what was wrong with my shoulder to see if it would help. I demanded to have my shoulder checked more then just in his office. MRI showed I had a torn rotator cuff. I felt like he was in a hurry to rush me into surgery without trying other options. Would definitely not recommend. After surgery, didn't see him until 4 weeks post op. Never came to talk to me in recovery room. Felt like it was just a ploy to make money for the fancy office they have.

Was not told anything about the problem with my foot or what he was going to be doing in surgery to fix it. Left me uneasy. Too joking and not enough substance in appt. Wanted to set up surgery immediately before it was explained to me and before I could think anything about how long I would be laid up.
