I would give Ascension Zero stars. I have great, comprehensive insurance but Ascension refuses to bill my insurance, placing the correct Authorization Number on the bills. So this care is denied for one reason: Authorization Number missing from bills. I have called Ascension 14 times over the course of two days trying to connect to someone in Billing to rectify this situation. No one answers. I wrote two letters to Ascension Billing asking them to call me after they rectify the situation. They have not called me. In addition to this my Primary Care doctor is creepy; she ignores my actual serious healtcare concerns (nerve damage, legs collapsing) but wants me to get a pap smear and mamogram. (Like that will fix my nerve damage from serious injuries, including traumatic brain injuries that happened years ago.) Once accused me of being a drug addict because the doctor neglected to fax in the prescriptions she wrote for me and I called weeks later to inform Ascension of this and they yelled "How many pills did you take?!" when I did not take any because I did not have any. I am a retired professional, highly educated and they treat me like I am an imbecile or a child.
