Cancer is scary enough. Dealing with cancer is stressful enough. Don't let this doctor and her work related staff stress you more. Their words are never reliable. If you are currently dealing with them, KEEP EVERYTHING RECORDED! EVERYTHING! Read ALL your reports yourself, and understand them. Train yourself to read those medical reports! Google can help!

First saw Dr Shan in beginning of December, she prescribed chemo drugs, said I had to come in for a follow-up appointment in 3 months (beginning of March) I started calling late February to set up an appointment, the staff do not answer the phone and do not return voice mail, it has now been over 6 months without contact. She prescribed chemo drugs, said I needed to take them for 5 years the prescription is for one year, don't know what will happen after my next renewal, Cancer is scary enough without this kind of uncaring doctor and her staff.

Whats wrong with these people -complain-complain - complain - she is wonderfull and ALL her staff are top notch!! Some people - in this world shock me with their terrible attitude!! Shes dealing with cancer patients ALL DAY - how fun it that?? Smarten up!!

Unfortunately I had a very similar experience as the previous reviewer. Took my family in to see her after waiting months to get to this point. Only to wait 1.45 hrs in the waiting room with my palliative family member in pain and nowhere to laydown. We filled out a very detailed 4 page questionnaire, that Dr Shan didn't even look at. She delivered a non-curative diagnosis poorly, which I am sure is not easy to do. However my biggest issue is her lack of communication. My family member is clearly dying and she offered no advice or support on how to look after them. Basically her job is just to order the chemotherapy, not to explain things in detail, not to connect us with resources, not to look at the whole patient, not to walk us through what this diagnosis means. Then we are left hanging on waiting to hear from her on when the next step will happen, literally waiting for weeks with a hundred questions that have not been answered. Meanwhile my family member is clearly declining and it would have been nice to know when things are happening so we could spend this time in a meaningful way, perhaps traveling, rather than waiting for phone calls for weeks
