Dr Wadiwalla was perceptive and quick to refer me to the right specialist, while also doing tests to rule out simpler conditions.

In my opinion and experience, an incredibly arrogant and rude physician. Will not answer questions, presumably because she either cannot, or doesn't like being questioned on specific immunity matters. Single minded, and projected a hostile manner. It would benefit her to understand that some patients are well informed and that she doesn't know everything. New studies are of great interest (and relevance) and, again in my opinion only, it would help her patients if she showed some willingness to listen and appear to care. In contrast, the receptionist is delightful. No complaints there.

She told me it was all in my head! After talking to others that have seen her also, she told them the same thing .... it's all in your head! I have angioadema from certain prescription drugs I need to maintain my life. Drugs that could kill me. Not according to her! She had not read my file nor my history of hospital visits from angioadema. What a waste of time .... PLEASE go see someone else she is horrid! Don't waste your time. She doesn't't care and has no knowledge. Her negligence could result in someones death!!!!

In one visit, she figured out what was wrong with me. This was after over 20 years of multiple visits with other doctors.

She is busy and brusque, which doesn’t matter. She is thorough and, most importantly, right.

A very thorough, wanting to help specialist. She had read all that my doctor had sent and gone online to gather more info. If I had been looking for a hand-holder I would have been disappointed, but she is incredibly professional, and I believe, knowledgable. i am glad that I was referred

I think Dr. Wadiwalla is very knowledgeable. She asked lots of questions, understood my concerns, gave me some solid and helpful information. Very happy we have an allergist in Nanaimo and such a good one at that!

Dr Wadiwalla sent me for tests in Vancouver that could have been done locally. The she took over 1 month to share test results with me because she said she was "sick". Dr. Wadiwalla was unfamiliar with my file on a follow-up telephone meeting. I don't recommend this doctor. Unfortunately, if you live in Nanaimo, you don't have another option unless you are willing to travel to Victoria or Vancouver.

Dr. Wadiwalla is obviously in this profession because she really cares about making patient's lives better. She's extremely knowledgeable, follows up, and doesn't rush you. I think some of these reviews refer to her directness. Specialists have to be direct. They are experts and generally know way more than we do about their specialization. That said, she is super thorough and really listens. I have two disorders that affect my immune system in mysterious ways and she's the only dr I've ever met who has an in depth understanding of these even though they don't fall directly under her specialization. I'm so so grateful my dr referred me to her and would highly recommend!
