You are safe with Dr. Saris. He performed my surgery after several rounds of steroid treatment, PT, and continued pain. He did an excellent consultation, educated me after the diagnosis, and took his time.

His patience and calmness coupled with his technical expertise has been very important and much appreciated as he cared for me during a critical operation to save my ability to walk.

My doctor sent me to Dr. Saris. I had fallen off a ladder, and broke one of the bones in my back. It collapsed onto itself and I think it is called a compression fracture. The other doctor I saw wanted to do a fusion right away. Dr. Saris said that these bones were like bones in other parts of the body and usually healed quite well on their own. We tried a brace and prescription painkillers. It took a few months, but my pain completely went away. I am glad that I was able to avoid surgery.

Trauma.
I was in a terrible car accident, and was unconscious for a few hours. My doctor sent me to Dr. Saris. He said, Dr. Saris was an expert in concussions. He called them minimal traumatic brain injuries.
I had been to a few other doctors, but Dr. Saris was the most reassuring and said that most concussions get better in a very short time. Usually over a few weeks. I have since gotten almost completely back to normal. He was so optimistic and patient with my questions.

My back was killing me. It has gone on for years, but for a few months I could barely get out of bed. I was sent to a few doctors, and was told I had two small breaks in one of my back bones. I interviewed a few spinal surgeons because I guess I needed a fusion. Dr. Saris and his physician's assistant spent the most time with me, and I went with them. It has been about a year. My pain is not completely gone, but mostly. My only criticism is that they pushed really hard for me to get off the painkillers after the surgery, and after only a few weeks I was only taking Tylenol. Other than that, I would send a friend or relative to them anytime.

Dr. Saris’ office asked me to write something about my care, and I was glad to do so. I had to go to the Milford Hospital Emergency Room when out of nowhere I had a seizure. It turns out, I have a benign tumor called a meningioma. The first doctor just wanted to operate on me I think. I went to Dr. Saris who recommended a more conservative procedure called the Gamma Knife. So far, and I am a year or two out, the tumor has shrunk up a lot. I have not had a seizure and I am thinking of coming off all my seizure pills. I would recommend the Gamma Knife staff and Dr. Saris to anyone.

My primary care physician did an MRI that showed severe narrowing of my spinal canal. I was starting to lose feeling in my leg. He referred me up to Dr. Saris’ clinic near Gillette Stadium. He was really nice and spent a lot of time going over things with me and my wife. The surgery was done in Attleboro at Sturdy Hospital. I am back to work, and apart from some tightness around my incision I feel back to normal. I have not worked quite this well in years.

I was going to go to one of the doctors at Cape Cod Hospital, but my cousin had Dr. Saris years ago and recommended him highly. His office was great. The doctor saw me ahead of time and went over all my imaging studies with me in his private office. We did the surgery up at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and it went great. My back is still a little achy, but the leg pain is gone. I think the nerve damage is gone too. I could not be happier with the result.
