Today, I met the most personal, informed, curious, sympathetic-but-all-about-curing-you gynecologists. She works well with my other hero, another gynecologist in town. May everyone get this kind of care.

Please Keep Reading: My wife is Canadian, but me I am from Massachusetts USA. Our appointment was at 11am, we arrived 1/2 hour early and checked in. Around 11:35 we noticed that everyone who came after us was going in while we were still waiting. I have questioned the receptionist about, because I had another appointment, and I understand the wait as well, but no more than 1 hour for a private clinic. Finally, the doctor called us and politely apologize for the lateness.

I give her a 5 star rating because of her professionalism and knowledge, as a business person who worked in the healthcare as well, she was at least not see us as a number, but very caring and answering all of our questions. Despite our differences and our problems, I would definitely recommend her to everyone. Remember, A smile will go a long way.

Went to Dr. Sonja Bodmar for first time for a consultation, and I am so glad I did not continue with her out of desperation for a doctor. She was too busy answering her cell phone calls, she asked her questions, didn’t allow me to express my concerns or ask any questions… suggested her solution of hysterectomy then I said you mean total hysterectomy, she said , “well I can leave your overlies!!! “She was very cold and didn’t appear as a human being with any human touch or even a hear.! Fast forward, I saw another doctor, not only I didn’t need to have hysterectomy, my problem got solved with a non surgical procedure and no complications post procedure by another gynecologist.

If you are going to this doctor Sonja, make sure you get your questions answered, and if you sense something odd about her, RUN. And get second opinion.

She was not caring or helpful with my concerns. I felt like I couldn’t tell her how I really feel because she looked like she was judging me. Always in a hurry and stressed. Her secretary is rude.

Comparing this doctor to many many others, she made life altering decisions with careful consideration. 10 stars out of 5. She LISTENED and when the other surgeons in the room said she should remove this and that she said "I spoke in depth with this patient, I know what she wants" and then she proceeded to spend HOURS EXTRA in surgery to do an intense, meticulous job that others would have been lazy to do. She's is a gift from the universe in my family. She treated my partner and I with respect where many doctors see gay women and change their attitude to us.
