I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of thyroid cancel in June 2016, 2 days before I was to be married. I was referred to Dr. Parikh. 45 days after I married I had my thyroid removed. After surgery Dr. Parkih told me I was the most challenging patient with this type of cancer he had worked with. Needless to say, 4 years later I am cancer free. I can't thank Dr. Parikh and his team for the care they extended to me. It was by far superior. My case was very difficult, but he was vigilant, thorough and would not give up on me. You can't go wrong working with Dr. Parikh.

Dr. Parikh took my thyroid out in January. I have been dreading this procedure for a long time. The surgery took 45 minutes and the incision is 1 inch long. I am flabbergasted at how straightforward the surgery was and how easy recovery was. I am now free of hyperthyroidism that has been bothering me for over a decade. Dr. Parikh was very easy to get along with, and took the time to spend with me and my family after surgery. He is extremely professional, and never felt rushed. He is very busy, and the waiting room was full of patients he had already operated on, or those he was going to operate on.

Dr. Parikh performed my thyroid surgery 6 weeks ago. I am a model/singer and I have been putting off having this surgery done for a long time for the cosmetic reasons and for the risk to my vocal nerves. When I first went to see Dr. Parikh his confidence, caring, and overall professional demeanor immediately put me at ease. He is very busy, but did take the time to answer all of my questions. The office staff and surgery center were very responsive and his scheduler Patrick is amazing. If you have thyroid problems that need surgery, I would see Dr. Parikh and not look back.

Just had my first post operative visit after a thyroid removal surgery. I am very particular and Dr. Parikh was the third opinion for my surgery. I have a multinodular thyroid goiter and have had it for several years. Dr. Parikh spoke to me frankly, professionally and with empathy during my first visit. He was confident, but not overly so, and I immediately knew he was the right surgeon for me. I underwent surgery at his beautiful surgery center and the surgery took about 45 minutes. I did not take one pain pill after surgery.....and I am a baby when it comes to pain. I am shocked, and so is my endocrinologist at the ease of recovery. Thankfully, there was no cancer and this surgery, that I have been dreading for so long is done!!! God Bless Dr. Parikh and his staff.

Do not listen to this silly review below. Dr. Parikh is a fantastic surgeon who deals with very complicated thyroid issues. I had papillary thyroid carcinoma. Dr. Parikh performed a thyroid removal and removal of lymph nodes. The surgery was done as an outpatient and I went back to work 3 days later. My scar looks great. The endocrinologist who I went to after the fact told me that she has never seen such a beautiful scar and my thyroid blood level markers were 0....also she hasn't seen that before. I would send my child to have surgery with Dr. Parikh without thinking twice. He has saved my life and I thank God each and every day for him

I am a female patient from NC state. We drove a long way to visit Dr. Parikh who seemed to be very busy and rush. The Ultrasound scan for my thyroid gland was within only minutes before the day of surgery. And I felt that he was not as friendly as the way I expected.

The removal of my Third occurring goiter performed by Dr. Parikh at his Atlanta, Georgia Surgical Center had been completed on the scheduled day of May 15. The enlarged goiter was quite big size with complicated multiple vessels attached around the left lobe thyroid gland and required carefully cutting away each and every one of them in order to separate from the unwanted lumpy tissue without damaging the surrounding nerve system.

Dr. Parikh took one hour or so to remove the goiter in 1.5 inches incision opening right at the middle of my neckline. I was told to go home (Hotel) after short recovery time at Surgery Center. I now realized that by doing so caused me two unexpected postoperative bleeding problems which was the major issue to deal with after surgery for my case. That was what I thought the most critical moment that Dr. Parikh totally missed out and appeared to be poorly handling the safety of the bleeding issue due to no further monitoring my condition had been done in the best way possible.

No reason to blame on my thyroid, it should be doctor's responsibility to take the precaution that my case was rather rare situation than the normal patient. I would say Dr. Parikh's did underestimate the postoperative bleeding issue at the moment. His failure to put me in the extra watch stage for more closely observation rendered me two 911 calls and rushed me to nearby Hospital for Emergency care. It all happened lightening quick and extremely horrible nightmares. I was suffering so much and absolutely not happy because Dr. Parikh was so busy at the time and did not show up at all for help, instead, he sent his assistance Dr. Ingley over.

In my understanding, Dr. Parikh may have been doing lots of goiter removal for all the patients who have no recurring records. But there are recurring patients out there like me need to be treated more safely. Thus, the advanced technique such as using certain device or instrument to seal the cutting vessels in order to prevent the excessive bleeding during and after surgery becomes " Necessary " for future improvement !!

Above were the scary experience with Dr. Parikh' surgery . He is a good thyroid surgeon for those "regular" patients. The fact is that Each Individual is different, but his treatment is "One Size Fits All ". I suggest that anyone who has the recurring goiter and want Dr. Parikh to do the cut will need to read my story and talk to your doctor before surgery regarding the possibility of postoperative bleeding. Good Luck !

Just had the after surgery visit with Dr. Parikh for my parathyroid. He is incredibly patient and answered all of my questions. I already feel better, and the symptoms that I have been struggling with forever are now gone. I went home the same day as my surgery and had no pain. I guarantee you won't find a better parathyroid surgeon around. He is very busy though...which I guess is a good thing.
