Ten weeks ago Sasha performed a bilateral forefoot reconstruction on my badly deformed feet caused by two large bunions on my big toes and two bunionettes on my small toes and I cannot believe the result. After suffering pain for so many years and being afraid of the surgery I am so grateful for Sasha's expertise and professionalism in every respect. Nothing was too much trouble for either Sasha or Antionette. At the initial visit Sasha took the time to fully assess my feet and explain in every day language his recommendation allying any fears that I had. Deciding to have both feet done at the same time was the best decision I made in order to avoid having to go through two recovery periods requiring elevation, elevation, elevation particularly during the initial four weeks to minimise swelling. After 5 weeks my scars had healed and were hardly noticeable. After 8 weeks I was wearing my runners with inbuilt support and walking to the letterbox. I can't believe that I have "normal" feet now! I followed Sasha's instructions explicitly and initially used a walking frame and wheelchair to get around. The result is nothing short of fantastic. I cannot recommend Sasha highly enough. So professional, kind, thoughtful and contactable should the need arise. Sasha is a superstar and a pleasure to deal with! He's my hero.

I had seen multiple doctors and had all the scans under under the sun after suffering from long term pain in my ankle. Whilst the scan results told me 'there's nothing to see here' I pushed for more as I knew there was something wrong. I was super fortunate to then be referred to Sasha for my ankle issues. It turned out I required a syndesmosis & lateral ankle reconstruction that was only discovered through a weight bearing CT that he sent me for. He made me feel comfortable from the outset after I'd been made to feel like it was all in my head by others. Where you can be overwhelmed with medical jargon, he breaks it down for you and ensures it all makes sense. Being able to contact him about any concerns via phone/email has been fantastic and helped settle concerns along the way. Antoinette, his office assistant, she's great too. She helped me with gaining all the correct referrals I needed along the way and made the whole process seamless. Touch wood I don't need to head back for anything else, but if I do, I'll definitely be seeking Sasha out.

Sasha is an extraordinarily organised, punctual and skilled surgeon. Not only does he do surgery, he also arranges all the treatment interdisciplinarily with adjunct health professionals such as physios, anaesthetists and assistants. Everything is basically organised by him and it was extremely non-invasive having an ankle reconstruction for ligament instability. The fees were very reasonable and completely disclosed up front. His receptionist Antoinette is very helpful and the physio Sophie is lovely as well. I strongly recommend Dr Roshan to anyone who has leg/ankle/foot issues.

I am adding my review to this excellent doctor. I had a knee injury, specifically a torn meniscus. The consultation, operation, and follow up were all excellent. As important to me was that it was done quickly, much quick consultation, and arranged quick NRI and operation the same week. This was the reason I chose Sasha, not my GP choosing him.

Firstly having to give up my beloved tennis in my mid 60's because of my 'dickie' knee, then having difficulty walking, particularly on stairs, I was referred to Sasha with degenerative effects of osteoarthritis and torn meniscus. Sasha repaired my knee admirably with keyhole surgery. Unfortunately I had a totally unforeseeable and quite rare complication after which my world turned upside down. Sasha was there for me through my ensuing crisis and even though I became a cardio vascular patient, he has continued to guide me through my rehab with reassurances, caring and encouragement which I needed to get me through a most difficult physical and emotional time. Although I did all the hard physical work resulting in a bonus 25kg weight loss, I could not have done it without the motivation and support of this wonderful caring man. 18 months down the track, I feel privileged to have met Sasha and if I ever need surgery again I would emphatically trust him with my life.

Sasha performed surgery on my daughter’s feet 2 years ago. She had juvenile bunions on the big toes and little toes. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. Caring, kind and went above and beyond in every aspect of our journey. My daughter was ashamed of her feet and in pain 24/7. They impacted her sport and social life. Today her feet are amazing! They look and function like normal feet and her scars are the faintest of fine lines. I will never forget what he has done for her. When I watch her play state league netball I often think of him, as he made it possible for her.

I chose Sasha for my bunionectomy after reading his reviews, and he certainly lived up to everything that was said. My one bunion was swiftly turned into two that needed surgery!
Sasha went into a very informative and detailed description of the procedure with such a caring manner that my husband and I were absolutely reassured that it was a sensible decision to do both at once! Now at almost 6 weeks post surgery with both feet looking normal it was a good decision.
Don’t get me wrong! It’s no walk in the park (pardon the pun), but with compliance with regard to elevation, pain relief and above all keeping inflammation at bay it can be done. Mantras like Toes above Nose.... elevate, elevate, elevate, are vital. Resting every hour and passive exercising is essential too. Use it or lose it meant a lot of exercises done as I lay on the couch to keep things mobile. The surgical shoes became my friends eventually as they facilitated walking around without pain and with practice I got quicker! I even put them on to walk at night to the loo! Luckily I have a big shower with a curtain, so feet were elevated to stop pooling in my ankles and the wound was kept dry for the first 2 weeks.
Swelling was my enemy as it would delay healing, massaging of the scar with bio oil 3 times a day increased in intensity as the healing occurred to break up scar tissue.
Pain was managed as required but didn’t require too much pain relief after 2 weeks.
At the moment I am increasing walking and elevating regularly and know it will take up to 12 months until I can forget I ever had it done. Looking forward to shoe shopping!
Antoinette is a legend and is an absolute joy to deal with.

I chose Mr Sasha Roshan to perform surgery on my bunions after reviewing available options in the Melbourne area. His perfect rating scores presented here are a true representation of his surgical expertise, and of the entire experience. Antoinette was very helpful, professional and supportive. Mr Roshan fully explained the procedures that were available for my feet and their condition ... after having bunions for most of my life which were getting more severe, and causing problems walking - with pain most of the time. He performed partially non-invasive bilateral bunionectomies using the Scarf & Akin techniques, as well as shortening of the second toe on one side. Post operatively there was basically no pain the first night as nerve blocks to the feet had been applied. There was only ongoing pain for approximately the first 4 days, after which l needed no pain killers at all ... as long as l kept the feet elevated for most of the time. It is now 7 weeks post-op and l am walking un-aided and with almost no pain. What an awesome surgeon! Oh, and the feet look great too! I highly recommend anyone considering having bunion corrective surgery to discuss your options with Mr Roshan.
