Huge waiting time, No response for phone calls or emails, the doctor is very rude & very stubborn, he doesn't give the patient a chance to say the history of the disease or the symptoms, I always feel that the visit is very heavy & with no outcome, he pushes the diagnosis in a certain direction with doesn't even has to do anything with the symptoms,
sometimes I don't even want to go to the visit just seeing him with his very weird mentality makes me sad, if you really love yourself look for another doctor, don't believe that he is the only one who deals with your medical condition, keep your options opened,
when I checked all his reviews and ratings I found that it is all very poor reviews,
but now I really believe it after i started myself to see him,
please STAY AWAY

I’ve been seeing Dr Lemos for about a year now; I have found him to be kind and helpful and thorough in his testing and diagnosis. The office is absolutely fabulous with communication and responses and following up to ensure appointments are made etc. The level of skill it takes to perform what he does is mind blowing and I’m so thankful I have access to the level of skill it takes to deal with this disease.

Dr.Lemos is the most compassionate and knowledgable doctor that I have seen throughout my years as a Canadian Endo patient

He was fairly dismissive until I shared my ultrasound results, even then he referred me to someone else which I
felt was a little odd, but I don't want to assume the worst with that . I was looking very forward to my appointment but I am feeling quite disheartened now. Although I am a step forward in getting my pelvic pain under control, and I am on a wait list to get a cyst removed it seems like he dismissed my previous diagnosis of endometriosis; and prescribed me medication for pelvic floor dysfunction with 3 90 day refills; however when I looked up the medication before taking it, it recommended taking it for no more than 14 days MAX. The medication also had conflicts with my other medical conditions not related to pelvic pain, and also mentioned it can make urinating difficult which is an issue I have every single day. Since then I have been spoken to in a very condescending manner by his fellow about having concerns, and questions about the medications prescribed to me. At this point I feel no sense of agency what so ever. I feel like for a male to specialize in this field, you would expect him to try to make his patients feel as in control of their situation and of their bodies as possible. As a young woman in her 20's who is immunocompromised, I would like to have my medical decisions respected when I say NO to a certain medication because the side effects outweigh the benefits. and NO THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE PAIN IS BEARABLE, it just means that the pain has been constant for 5 years and any other medical intervention I have tried with my family doctor and other specialists has not worked in the sense that the cons have outweighed the pros. Dr. Lemos, I truly think you are knowledgable - but I think you would be a lot more successful in your practice if you actually gave people the time of day and LISTENED, and maybe relayed these messages to whoever you send your patients to.

Yes, it takes a while to be able to see him as he is one of the only doctors in this country that specialize in endometriosis. But he listens and is very knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. I had been struggling for years before I was finally able to see him. It was great to have someone who took the time to listen and answer my questions.

I really cannot believe the responses I have read. I had surgery for severe endometriosis almost three years ago. Had been suffering for years and no one would listen when I said my kidney issues, bowel issues and the pains down my legs had to be attributed to endometriosis. I was actually sent to a urologist that thought I had cancer!!! Worst and best day of my life! She sent me to Princess Margaret and from there I was sent to Toronto general to an amazing urologist Dr. Robert Hamilton. I forgot to mention I had nephrostomy tubes in both kidneys at this point. And I was also sent to Dr. Jonathan Solnyk at Mount Sinai who referred me to Dr. Lemos. When I first met Dr. Lemos I was so relieved that someone finally got it and listened to what I had to say. It took almost 3 years to actually get the surgery needed. It kept getting rescheduled due to conflicts among the 4 surgeons that were needed. The day before my actual surgery date the urologist, not Dr. Hamilton, was going to cancel. Dr. Lemos said that he would not cancel my surgery again. They were expecting an 8 hour surgery at that point, which would have been bad enough doing the responsibilities of two surgeons. After beginning the surgery though it was 18 hours long!!! I have been pain free and only spent 6 days in hospital. I blame our health care system for allowing my endometriosis to get to the severity that it was. Doctors can only do so much!

Extremely dismissive, drops patients without warning or valid reasons and refuses to communicate again. Extremely unprofessional and shows massive disregard for patient well being. Avoid discussing your mental health struggles with him if you want him to even consider performing surgery on you.

So I have very mixed feelings about Lemos. I do think he drops patients that don't fall within his current areas of interest even if they fall within his specialty which is unfair. However..he is innovative, and treats people who other doctors brush off or are unable to treat and maybe that's why he is so selective about patients. He was the first doctor to actually try and help with my symptoms.
