I went to Dr Then after a considerable period of time with a very poor doctor who did not listen and missed several conditions that should have been treated. Dr Then new this, was wonderful and listened and appeared to be exactly what I needed to get my health back on track. 12 months on and I'm doing considerably better but after a lifetime of dealing with distressing psychiatric symptoms on my own and struggling to manage I finally opened up to him. He referred me to someone he didn't know, 3 months later they still haven't given me an appointment and it turns out they were not happy with his referral and despite repeated requests he did not provide the additional information they were after. He referred me somewhere else that deals with ADHD with a sideline in general psychiatry - what an absolute disaster (and an expensive one) that I had to wait another 5 months for. Turns out he didn't know them either, found them using Google. I had to go back in a few days for my results but will be unable to because of work so when I called to move the appointment I was told he has left the practice and that's that. I saw him less than 2 weeks ago and he said he was going on leave for a month and then he just pushed off without any warning. I am now left with starting all over again trying to get the psychiatric help I need or going to another GP within the practice who I don't know and who does not know my history and the first appointment will be to discuss a debilitating and lifelong psychiatric condition. Not good enough Nick. Also not overly impressed with hitting me up for an out of pocket cost of $52 for a telehealth appointment that was literally 3 minutes long for a repeat prescription because my specialist stuffed up the regular one. It meant I was unable to afford to see him when I cut my finger to the bone and it got infected a couple of days later. It is now scarred and I can't bend it. Surely bulk-billing would be appropriate there? I note he bulk billed me the first few times I saw him and on occasion after that but completely hit and miss and changed his policy on this without telling me. Overall, not a good or reliable doctor anymore so I cannot recommend him to anyone.
