I was discharged and abandoned into the public system which couldn't help. I thought I had help when I first met him, but I was surely mistaken.

I would not recommend him to anyone I have being seeing him for two years every one of our sessions which is only 15 mins he spends the whole time trying to remember who I am , I constantly have to follow up on my script and sometimes wait 3-5 months

Not sure how to feel about this doctor other than disappointed. He engages in conversation like a psychologist and friend, I trusted him. put me on a cocktail of drugs as a teen and completely ghosted me after treating me for years. He has alot of knowledge but ended up causing more harm than good and a very bad benzo addiction for a very naive and sick teenager. Not worth the money unless your a junkie. Going on two years clean, without the help from a psychiatrist.

Happy to take your money, care factor zero. After numerous desperate calls and emails for help over a 2 week period, he didn't even bother to respond, but happy to charge for the two sessions he had.

I have found Dr Chapman to be an approachable, supportive and encouraging psychiatrist. He took a lot of time to get to know me and my history. There is care and time taken and no rushing a diagnosis. I have found that those who complain about a lack of service have self diagnosed and hate that Dr Chapman has thought otherwise. If you want quick fixes to manage severe mental health issues he may not be your best choice. He perform due diligence with prescribing so I don't consider him to be useless in this area at all. Unless useless to you means him not giving you want you want?

Perhaps the people who were frustrated didn’t get told what they wanted to hear? He isn’t looking to make friends but provide the best care, even when at the time you don’t see the “method to his madness”. Give him time and a couple of appointments, he doesn’t rush his treatment. Worth riding it out. As a long term patient I feel comfortable that he is looking out for me
