It's been a long time since I felt listened to and actually helped by a doctor. Not dismissed, not told it's in my head or to just live with it. I am grateful to be with Dr. Molly. She has made a big difference in my life and I've noticed things have really turned around in my health. I feel very different than when I first went to see her a year ago. She really seems to really care about me and wants me to succeed. I feel stronger and more hopeful than I have in a long time. I will continue to stay on with her. Very happy I found Dr. Molly. Wish there were more like her.

Overall she is solid. Smart, very thorough, doesn’t make hasty decisions. I appreciate all of those qualities in a doctor. After our appointment she provided me with a detailed plan that seemed to be well thought through. That’s a first for me. Usually I leave my GP’s office with a script of some kind and nothing more. Nice to see doctors making recommendations about all aspects of one’s health vs. Prescribing yet another drug. I like Dr. Molly a lot and feel good about this partnership. I plan to continue under her care.

At first I was put off by the length of her forms and the fact I couldn’t see her in person, but in the end it was fine. I liked her a lot. She is very prompt and courteous - my last visit to my GP I waited more than 50 minutes for a very rushed appointment with him - and really seems to know her stuff. I thought I would be bothered by the video appointment but I actually preferred it. I had sent in my tests ahead of time and she had already reviewed them. That’s a first for me. I actually felt like she knew my medical history better than my own GP! We had lots of time to go through all of my concerns and she was very good about sharing her thoughts with me. I got more out of one appointment with this doctor than multiple visits with my GP who never seems to explain anything and always tells me everything is fine. I am already noticing an improvement having followed most of her recommendations. I will continue to see Dr. Scotchmer. I’m happy to have found her.

I've been working with Dr. Scotchmer for some time now. Primarily via zoom visits. I find her to be very kind, courteous, professional and respectful of my time. Her assistant, Heather is very helpful and makes me feel taken care of, which I appreciate. It's been a long time since I've felt that way at a doctor's office. I find Dr. Scotchmer to be very thoughtful and deliberate in her recommendations. I like that she doesn't rely heavily on prescriptions and makes sure that I am sleeping and exercising and keeping stress low etc. I wish more doctors took the time to care about the whole person, not just pushing pills. Highly recommend.

It took a while to get into see her, but was worth the wait. She's very good at what she does. I felt heard and understood and cared for. She is smart, very thorough, had reviewed my forms in great detail and had ideas and recommendations on what the issue might be and how to get started. She gave me options for testing and didn't push expensive supplements and lots of follow ups or IVs like in the past with other docs. Her assistant is gentle and kind and took the time to get me set up in their online system which I really appreciated. I think I have finally found my functional med doctor. Highly recommend.

I'm going to make this short and sweet. At the end of the day I don't know where I would be without this doctor. She literally helped me transform my life and health. In a big way. I have been able to give up most of my meds that I had been on for years and stop being so reliant on people to "fix me". At 52 I finally feel like I am the one that is in control. It's been a long time coming. Such a great experience. She is everything I hoped and more.

Here's what I like about Dr. Molly. This was my third visit today and I'm really glad she was able to take me on as a patient. She is smart and is very kind and understanding. She takes time with me and really listens to what I am saying and how I feel. She doesn't push expensive tests or supplements. She gives me options for things and has empowered me to ask for testing from my MD and explained why I should be having it done. She goes thru my test results and explains each one to me. My GP never explains anything - he always just says that everything looks ok or normal, but I am figuring out that normal doesn't really mean that much if I am not feeling good to begin with. I am tired of coming away without any answers. I don't feel that way with Dr. Molly. She is really committed to figuring out what is going on with my health and I value this alot. Also her assistant Heather is very nice and always takes good care of me. It makes a difference when you call in to a doctor's office to be treated with respect for a change.

I feel like I have been floundering with my health for such a long time. But now I don't anymore. I finally have a plan and someone who is listening to me and not brushing me off or telling me that I have to just learn to live with my symptoms. I felt like everytime I saw my GP she couldn't wait to get me out of her office. And now with this whole coronavirus issue I can't even get an appoitnment or her on the phone or even get halfway decent medical care anymore. Anyway, I decided I'd had enough of it, and would invest in private healthcare. A friend suggested I see Dr. Scotchmer and I'm very glad I listened to her. I really like her assistant, Heather - she's an absolute doll and so helpful. I was concerned about having my appointments online but it's worked out really well. Dr. Scotchmer sends me my plan after our appointment and puts whatever I need on her dispensary and it's much easier than I thought. For the first time in years I am feeling better and stronger and more confident about my health. I wish I'd done this years ago. Highly recommend.

I like that she is both a functional medicine doctor and naturopath all in one. I wanted the specialized testing of a functional medicine doc and the non-chemical approach a ND takes. I am very glad I found Dr. Molly and she took me on as a patient. I had to wait a while to get in to see her and was told she has a waiting list for newer patients. I understand that but I would have preferred if I could have gotten in right away. I don't really like to wait. She is very caring and sensible. She always kind and straightforward with me and doesn't use a lot of doctor speak that I can't follow. I came to her with a complicated autoimmune issue and had started to lose hope that I would ever feel like myself again. I had tried so many drugs and have endured so many terrible side effects I didn't know what else to do. But it's happening. Little by little day by day I'm getting better and I'm getting my life back. I did have one side effect to a supplement she prescribed but we figured out the issue and found a good alternative and I'm back on track. There were a couple of times in the early days of seeing her that I didn't feel well enough to go into the office so we had my appointment via video. That was a great option for me and I really appreciate Dr. Molly can see me this way. It's good for when we are up at the cottage in the summer or away at times during the winter. I like the flexibility she provides. Highly recommend this doctor. She's worth her weight in gold.

Here's my assessment of Dr. Molly. I'm going to break it all down in case it's helpful for other people looking for an alternative to this rather dysfunctional medical system we find ourselves faced with. What works for me: 1. She listen carefully and she thinks things through. 2. She doesn't try to stuff me full of a lot of supplements 3. She doesn't keep me waiting. 4. She knows what tests to run and she always takes the time to explain the results to me. I bring my list of questions to my appointments and she addresses all of them and gives me resources if I want more information. 5. She creates a plan for me so I know what I'm doing 6. She types out my plans so I can actually read them and categorizes things so I know why I'm doing them. 6. She seems to be on the cutting edge of all the functional testing and research but is also old school and preaches about sleep and diet and all that sort of thing. 7. I've had good results with her so far and noticed my health has come a long way. Here's what doesn't work for me: 1. I have to send in my invoices on my own to my insurance company 2. She is strict about emails 3. She doesn't work on Fridays (my day off)
