    Biography

    I am a full-time clinical assistant professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. I received my medical degree from Tripoli University, Libya, and completed my internal medicine training at Tripoli Central Hospital, Libya as well as at St. Francis Medical Center, New Jersey. I later served as associate program director for the internal medicine program at St. Francis Medical Center. I then completed pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at University of Vermont. I have been in practice in Bethlehem since 2004. I have a passion for teaching at all levels and have earned teaching awards at every level of training and at every institution with which I have been affiliated. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), and I remain active in research including venous thromboembolism and lung cancer detection. I live in the Lehigh Valley with my wife and four children. I am highly active in the community and in my children’s activities.
