Biography

Dr. Tonks is a Doctor of Optometry and sees patients primarily in the Farragut and Knoxville locations. Dr. Tonks grew up in Versailles, KY and attended Auburn University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology (magna cum laude). She then attended Indiana University for her postgraduate work and earned her Doctorate in Optometry. “I like empowering people about their health through education,” said Dr. Tonks. “I try to educate patients about their ocular health, what I am seeing and the steps they can take to lower their risk of eye problems in the future.” Dr. Tonks is thrilled to be part of Drs. Campbell, Cunningham, Taylor & Haun.“At this practice, we are able to provide comprehensive eye care – from primary to surgical care all under one roof. That is a huge advantage. We have a retina specialist on staff and Ophthalmologists who provide surgical care for cataracts, eyelid disorders, refractive surgery, and numerous other eye conditions. We offer an optical center.
