I am a Director of Nursing and I had this doctor as my gynecologist for many years! I think he’s simply great! I would definitely recommend him to all women. Too bad he moved from Aurora Health Care.

This doctor was on call when my daughter went into labor. He was not my daughters doctor. To make a long story short we were at the hospital for 12 hours in labor we saw this man 15 min tops he never uttered one word to either one of us. He came in and broke her waterm left and came back in when baby was coming out. He never asked me if I wanted to cut the cord nothing he said norhing. Before I knew it he cut the cord and left. Awful awful bedside manner.

Dr Raskin is a caring non rushed dr. He finally helped a chronic condition that was misdiagnosed for a long time. I had seen a Dr Atcha and was hurriedly misdiagnosed by only a visual exam even though my symptoms did not match up. This Dr has good bedside manner.

Very set in his ways, treats you like a patient and nothing more. Very quick, abrupt and routine appointments. Condescending, not willing to negotiate birth plans or take more natural approaches. To the point and not a very understanding or lenient man.

Staff at this office couldn't get my insurance info correct after two appointments. Both appointments felt very clinical and I didn't feel comfortable or that I was listened to. I was asked how bog my first baby was and because he was large Dr Raskin said "lets not do that again" and at my 12 week appointment put me on a low/no carb diet eventhough I had no diabetes or gestational diabetes or history of it. Though his bedside manner was just as clinical and professional as everything else I just didn't feel comfortable with him. When he did the initial exam he skipped the breast exam even though it had been well over a year since Id had one and I do have family history of breast cancer. I am sure he is a wonderful Dr for others but I just didn't feel comfortable with this office and sought out an office with only one Dr that could provide much more personal care.

I am 52 years old, have two children and lived in three major cities in the US. I consider Dr. Raskin to be the best gynecologist I have seen. However, after I had the first surgery of my life last summer to remove a dermoid cyst I cannot think of words to describe my gratitude. Let's just say that Dr. Raskin and his surgical team went above and beyond to make surgery a pleasant experience. He is caring, very intelligent, takes time to explain everything and he listens. I feel a partnership with him as his patient.

My sister (L&D nurse) recommended Dr. Raskin to me. He was great. I was nervous about having a male doctor, but he made me feel very comfortable. The only thing I was bummed about is that he wasn't at the hospital to deliver my daughter.

He is honest and will tell you up front what his routine non negotiable pregnancy strategies are. Ex. IV access and constant monitoring as well as stripping the membranes at 37 weeks if you are over 35. If that is good with you, he seems that he would be a great Dr. He is knowledgeable about nutrients which is great!
