Biography

A graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School, Dr. Sampat completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas - Houston and then spent one year completing a Leukemia fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed his Hematology & Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Sampat's education and training reflect a particular interest in advancing treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. He has contributed to several publications and presentations in this field. Dr. Sampat stays active in the medical community through his memberships in associations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. In his spare time, Dr. Sampat enjoys hiking, bicycling, and traveling.
