I have been seeing Dr Palmer for many years. She is amazing and I wouldn't take other negative reviews to heart as I know this doctor very well. Would never give a diagnosis after 15 minutes...a diagnosis normally requires more than 1 visit.... She is adamant about this. She is a non judgemental doctor, has her own options but does not bring her own beliefs into sessions. It's talk therapy, meaning she let's you guide the sessions. She always makes sure to check in with you at appointments (your mental/emotional state) she is compassionate, kind, non judgemental, has great knowledge of feelings/emotions. Gives great advice and always recommends things JUST outSIDE of your comfort zone to make sure your reaching your full potential. If you're not looking to achieve success, look for a different doctor. She wants you to succeed, but success requires you to do things you might now be used to. I love that she challenges me... That being said, she would never make someone new and vulnerable challenge themselves if they weren't ready. You can always tell her that your not ready and she will help you find something that will work for you... don't be afraid to speak your mind. Remember, she is non judgmental. She values your opinion. If you're emotional like me, she is a perfect fit.

I met with her a few times and explained my situation. I was hoping to explore diagnosis and doing a comprehensive assessment. However she wanted to diagnose me after our initial meeting of 15minutes. She misdiagnosed me and wouldn’t reconsider assessment. Upon reading the report that she wrote I found multiple errors and wrong assumptions. She got things extremely wrong and didn’t listen.

She noted that I didn’t seek treatment for a head injury even though I told her that I sought treatment and had to take a break to heal. She also repeatedly addressed me by the wrong name.
