Very professional and explained things so you could understand them. And was scheduled quickly which was really appreciated

I saw Dr. Mercer last week and it was the worst visit with a doctor I've ever had. The staff were nice to me bu he acted like he didn't care. He was very rude! So much so that it shocked me! Like another person stated here "He talked at me..not to me". He rarely looked at me. When I asked him if he could check something he said "there's no need." He rushed in the room and out. He rushed everything. He went to look at a recent blood work I had done and he said there wasn't one and that I haven't had one since 2012, but I told him I did and he could contact my doctor. He just ignored me and I think he believed I was lying. He didn't care about my concerns and once I asked him a question and he said "if you just wait a minute I'll tell you". I seriously can't believe he has patients. Please if you need to go to a dermatologist my advice to you is to choose another one. He's in it for the money and wants to rush you out so he can see more patients in his day.

Dr. Mercer wouldn’t be able to tell you what I looked like. He was extremely RUSHED. He spoke at me not to me! It took me longer to back into my parking space than the time it took to speak with his in his office. Very disappointed. I won’t follow up with a doctor who can’t even look at me.

Can't believe that Dr. Mercer left Corner Brook but did not inform his patients that he was closing up shop!!! I had an appointment booked for almost a year but to my surprise and dismay showed up to a closed office. Travelled 2 hours to see him. Pretty sure it would have been professional protocol to advise patients that appointments were cancelled. Not at all impressed.

Dr. Mercer was phenomenal. I am very sad to see him leave Corner Brook as the west coastreally needs a doctor like him. He is straight to the point which is excellent as no one wants to beat around the bush. I hope his wonderful staff gets good jobs in the future. They were awesome. Thank you for everything.

We met with Dr. Mercer to consult about my mother's skin issues. We were grateful that he was able to see her a week earlier than expected. We found him to be extremely thorough, efficient, and focussed. He was encouraging about positive test results and reassured us. He performed a biopsy which caused no pain to my Mom, and which is healing nicely. His nurse Kim is the best; compassionate, organized, and well-informed. Dr. Mercer has impressive credentials and we are fortunate to have him in Corner Brook. I appreciate his cut-to-the-chase manner to be reassuring, as I don't go to a physician for idle chit-chat. I also appreciate the fact that he works quickly and efficiently, as nobody likes to be waiting in a waiting room unnecessarily. I trust his judgement.

I was not notified of one appointment, missed it and was charged. Then I was notified of my appointment, travelled 1.5hrs to get there and they said i didn’t have an appointment that day. (Someone else with a similar name did.) when I eventually did get to see him, he was rude and curt. He didn’t speak and would not let me explain my concerns. Because of this the wrong area was treated. The follow up prescription wasn’t clear which made it difficult to get the prescription filled.

I found it difficult to talk to this doctor, he rushed me in and out of his office and wouldn't really address the real concerns I had! I was disappointed as I waited 2 1/2 years to speak with this doctor for a skin condition and he just sent me home with a ointment and said to come back in 6 months, after ensuring I had a day off of work his secretary called to cancel and reschedule for the following week after.. they are a very rude staff, and they are extremely hard to get ahold of... don't bother calling unless you've got an hour or so because they hardly answer the phones!
